Earth-moving machinery - Safety - Part 12: Requirements for cable excavators
This part of EN 474 deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to cable excavators as defined in EN ISO 6165:2006, when they are used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer (see Clause 4).
This European Standard applies also to cable excavators, their undercarriage and upper-structure, if intended for use in combination with other equipment or attachment, such as drill rigs, pile driving and extracting equipment and moving equipment (e.g. rail track, walking legs, pontoon, ship) or stationary undercarriage. This European Standard is not dealing with the specific hazards due to these additional equipment or attachment.
NOTE For these additional equipment or attachment, relevant specific European Standards should be considered where available, for example:
- for pile driving and extracting equipment: EN 996:1995;
- for drill rigs: EN 791:1995.
The requirements of this part are complementarily to the common requirements formulated in EN 474-1:2006.
This part does not repeat the requirements from EN 474-1:2006, but adds or replaces the requirements for application for cable excavators.
This part specifies the appropriate technical measures to eliminate or reduce risks arising from the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events during commissioning, operation and maintenance of the machinery in the scope.
This European Standard is not applicable to cable excavators manufactured before the date of publication of this European Standard by CEN.
Erdbaumaschinen - Sicherheit - Teil 12: Anforderungen für Seilbagger
Dieser Teil der EN 474 behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungs-ereignisse, die auf Seilbagger entsprechend EN ISO 6165:2006 zutreffen, wenn sie bestimmungsgemäß verwendet werden. Die nach vernünftigem Ermessen für den Hersteller vorhersehbare Nutzung der Maschine außerhalb der bestimmungsgemäßen Verwendung ist ebenfalls berücksichtigt (siehe Abschnitt 4).
Diese Europäische Norm gilt auch für Seilbagger und ihre Unter- und Oberwagen, wenn diese in Verbindung mit anderen Arbeitsausrüstungen und Einrichtungen wie Bohr-, Ramm- und Ziehausrüstungen und Fahrwerken (z. B. Schienenfahrwerk, Schreitwerk, Ponton, Schiff) oder mit stationärem Unterbau betrieben werden sollen. Dieses Dokument behandelt nicht die speziellen Gefährdungen, die sich aus diesen zusätzlichen Ausrüstungen und Einrichtungen ergeben.
ANMERKUNG Für diese zusätzlichen Ausrüstungen und Einrichtungen sollten (soweit vorhanden) die speziellen Europäischen Normen beachtet werden, wie z. B.
- für Ramm- und Ziehgeräte: EN 996:1995;
- für Bohrgeräte: EN 791:1995.
Die Anforderungen gelten ergänzend zu den allgemeinen Anforderungen der EN 474-1:2006.
Dieser Teil wiederholt nicht die Anforderungen der EN 474-1:2006, sondern ergänzt oder ersetzt diese für den Einsatz von Seilbaggern.
Dieser Teil beschreibt die geeigneten technischen Maßnahmen, um die Risiken zu mindern oder zu beseitigen, die aufgrund signifikanter Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse während der Inbetriebnahme, des Betriebes, der Instandhaltung von Seilbaggern eintreten können.
Diese Europäische Norm ist nicht anzuwenden für Seilbagger, die vor der Veröffentlichung dieser Europäischen Norm durch CEN hergestellt wurden.

La présente partie de l’EN 474 traite de tous les phénomènes, situations et événements dangereux significatifs
relatifs aux pelles à câbles telles que définies dans l'EN ISO 6165:2006, lorsqu'elles sont utilisées comme prévu
ou dans des conditions de mauvais usage que le fabricant peut raisonnablement prévoir (voir Article 4).
La présente Norme européenne s’applique également aux pelles à câbles, à leur structure porteuse et à leur
superstructure, lorsqu’elles sont destinées à être utilisées en association avec d’autres équipements ou accessoires,
tels que : équipements de forage, matériels de battage et d’arrachage avec des équipements mobiles (par exemple,
sur rails, sur patins, sur ponton, sur barge) ou des structures porteuses fixes. La présente Norme européenne ne
traite pas des phénomènes dangereux spécifiques engendrés par ces équipements ou accessoires supplémentaires.
NOTE Pour ces équipements ou accessoires supplémentaires, il convient de prendre en considération les Normes
européennes spécifiques correspondantes, lorsqu’elles sont disponibles, par exemple :
— pour le matériel de battage et d’extraction de profilés à battre : EN 996:1995 ;
— pour les appareils de forage : EN 791:1995.
Les prescriptions figurant dans la présente partie viennent en complément des prescriptions communes présentées
dans l’EN 474-1:2006!+A1:2009".
La présente partie ne répète pas les prescriptions de l’EN 474-1:2006!+A1:2009" mais en ajoute ou en remplace
certaines applicables aux pelles à câbles.
La présente partie prescrit les mesures techniques appropriées pour éliminer ou réduire les risques dus
aux phénomènes, situations et événements dangereux significatifs survenant lors de la mise en service,
du fonctionnement et de la maintenance des machines citées dans le domaine d’application.
La présente Norme européenne n’est pas applicable aux pelles à câble fabriquées avant la publication de la présente
Norme européenne par le CEN.
