Dentistry - Graphical symbols for dental instruments (ISO 21531:2009)

ISO 21531:2009 presents a series of graphical symbols for dental instruments. They are set out particularly for this area of dentistry or corresponding specific areas within dentistry. General symbols are taken from relevant ISO, IEC or other international documents. Several new symbols presented by manufacturers or users have been added.

Zahnheilkunde - Graphische Symbole für Dentalinstrumente (ISO 21531:2009)

Diese Internationale Norm legt eine Reihe von graphischen Symbolen für Dentalinstrumente fest. Sie wurden speziell für diesen Bereich der Zahnheilkunde oder korrespondierende Bereiche innerhalb der Zahnheilkunde entwickelt. Allgemeine Symbole werden von den relevanten ISO, IEC oder anderen internationalen Dokumenten übernommen. Verschiedene neue Symbole, die von den Herstellern oder Anwendern vorgelegt wurden, wurden mit aufgenommen.
Weil viele Dentalprodukte in manchen Fällen als Medizinprodukte und in manchen Fällen nicht als Medizinprodukte angesehen werden, wird der eingeschränkte Anwendungsbereich von ISO 15223 als nicht praktisch angesehen. Es ist die Absicht dieser Internationalen Norm den Anwendungsbereich einiger graphischer Symbole aus ISO 15223 auf die gesamte Zahnheilkunde zu erweitern. Deshalb werden diese Symbole in dieser Internationalen Norm zusammen mit dem Ursprungsdokument aufgeführt.
ANMERKUNG   Zusätzlich zu den Benennungen, die in zwei der drei offiziellen ISO Sprachfassungen (Englisch, Französisch und Russisch) gegeben werden, enthält diese Internationale Norm äquivalente Benennungen in der deutschen Sprache; diese erscheinen unter der Verantwortung des Mitgliedes für Deutschland (DIN). Nur die Benennungen in den offiziellen ISO Sprachen dürfen deshalb als ISO Benennungen angesehen werden.

L'ISO 21531:2009 présente une série de symboles graphiques pour les instruments dentaires. Ils ont été établis spécifiquement pour le domaine de l'art dentaire ou pour des domaines spécifiques correspondants de l'art dentaire. Les symboles généraux sont issus de documents internationaux ISO, CEI ou autres. Plusieurs nouveaux symboles présentés par des fabricants ou des utilisateurs ont été ajoutés.

This document (EN ISO 21531:2009) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106 "Dentistry" in
collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2009, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by August 2009.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
