ISO 1891-2:2014 specifies terms and definitions for fastener coatings, primarily intended for corrosion protection and functional purposes. These terms are mainly intended for use in conjunction with ISO 4042, ISO 10683 and ISO 10684.

This document (EN ISO 1891-2:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners" in
collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 185 “Fasteners” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2015, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the
latest by April 2015.
