Non-destructive testing - General principles for radiographic examination of metallic materials by X- and gamma-rays
This European Standard outlines the general rules for industrial X- and gamma radiography for flaw detection purposes, using film techniques, applicable to the inspection of metallic materials. The examination shall be carried out by competent personnel qualified and certified according to EN 473 where applicable. It does not lay down acceptance criteria of the imperfections.

Die Prüfung muss von kompetetem Personal durchgeführt werden, das nach EN 473, sofern zutreffend, qualifiziert und zertifiziert wurde. Die Norm legt keine Bewertungskriterien für die Fehler fest.

La présente norme européenne donne les règles générales de la radiographie industrielle à l'aide de rayons X et gamma, pour la détection des défauts lors du contrôle des matériaux métalliques, à l'aide de films radiographiques. L'examen doit être effectué par un personnel compétent, qualifié et certifié suivant la norme EN 473 quand elle s'applique. La norme ne fixe aucun critère d'acceptation des défauts.
