Protective gloves for firefighters

This European Standard defines minimum performance requirements and test methods for firefighters' protective gloves.   This European Standard applies only to firefighters' protective gloves which protect the hands during normal firefighting, including search and rescue.   Protective gloves for special firefighting operations, such as these covered by prEN 1486, or for interventions involving a contact with oils and chemicals are outside the scope of this standard.

Feuerwehrschutzhandschuhe

In dieser Europäischen Norm werden Anforderungen (Mindest-Leistungsstufen) und Prüfverfahren für Feuerwehrschutzhandschuhe festgelegt. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nur für Feuerwehrschutzhandschuhe, die die Hände bei üblichen Feuerbekämpfungstätigkeiten einschließlich Bergung und Rettung schützen. Schutzhandschuhe für besondere Feuerbekämpfungstätigkeiten, die beispielsweise durch die prEN 1486 abgedeckt sind oder bei Arbeiten den Kontakt mit Ölen oder Chemikalien bedingen, sind durch diese Norm nicht abgedeckt.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences de performances minimales et les méthodes d'essai requises pour les gants de protection pour sapeurs-pompiers. La présente norme européenne s'applique uniquement aux gants de protection pour sapeurs-pompiers qui protègent les mains lors de la lutte contre l'incendie, y compris les opérations de recherche et sauvetage.
