Inorganic fertilizers - Determination of specific contaminants

This document specifies references to methods for the determination of the following contaminants: mercury, cadmium, nickel, copper, zinc, arsenic, lead, chromium (VI), biuret, perchlorate and total chromium content in inorganic fertilizers.
This document is applicable to EU fertilizing products classified as PFC 1(C) and PFC 7 as long as the blend only consists of EU fertilizing products classified as PFC 1(C), PFC 2 and PFC 5 as specified in the Regulation (EU) 2019/1009 [3].
An overview of the references to methods for the determination of the specific contaminants is given in Table 1.
NOTE 1   The determination of copper and zinc in inorganic fertilizers as micronutrients is covered by CEN/TS 17754:2022.
NOTE 2   The determination of copper in ammonium nitrate fertilizers of high nitrogen content is covered by CEN/TS 17751:2022.

Anorganische Düngemittel - Bestimmung spezifischer Kontaminanten

Dieses Dokument legt Verweisungen auf Verfahren zur Bestimmung der folgenden Kontaminanten fest: Quecksilber, Cadmium, Nickel, Kupfer, Zink, Arsen, Blei, Chrom(VI), Biuret, Perchlorat und der Gesamtgehalt an Chrom in anorganischen Düngemitteln.
Dieses Dokument ist anwendbar auf EU Düngeprodukte der Kategorien PFC 1(C) und PFC 7, vorausgesetzt, die Mischung besteht ausschließlich aus EU Düngeprodukten der Kategorie PFC 1(C), PFC 2 und PFC 5 der Verordnung (EU) 2019/1009 [3].
Ein Überblick über die Verweisungen auf Verfahren zur Bestimmung der spezifischen Kontaminanten wird in Tabelle 1 gegeben.
ANMERKUNG 1   Die Bestimmung von Kupfer und Zink als Spurennährstoffe in anorganischen Düngemitteln wird in CEN/TS 17754:2022 behandelt.
ANMERKUNG 2   Die Bestimmung von Kupfer in Ammoniumnitratdüngemitteln mit hohem Stickstoffgehalt wird in CEN/TS 17751:2022 behandelt.

Engrais inorganiques - Détermination des contaminants spécifiques

Le présent document spécifie les références des méthodes de détermination des contaminants suivants : la teneur en mercure, en cadmium, en nickel, en cuivre, en zinc, en arsenic, en plomb, en chrome (VI), en biuret, en perchlorate et en chrome total dans les engrais inorganiques.
Le présent document est applicable aux fertilisants UE classés en PFC 1(C) et PFC 7 tant que la combinaison ne se compose que de fertilisants UE classés en PFC 1(C), PFC 2 et PFC 5 comme spécifié dans le règlement (UE) 2019/1009 [3].
Un aperçu des références aux méthodes de détermination des contaminants spécifiques est donné dans le Tableau 1.
NOTE 1   Le dosage du cuivre et du zinc dans les engrais inorganiques en tant qu'oligo-éléments est couvert par la CEN/TS 17754:2022.
NOTE 2   Le dosage du cuivre dans les engrais à base de nitrate d'ammonium à forte teneur en azote est couvert par la CEN/TS 17751:2022.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 13 March 2022 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
