Rubber- or plastics- coated fabrics - Determination of tear strength - Part 3: Trapezoidal method

This standard defines test conditions and the procedure to be followed for determining the tear strength of a trapezoidal specimen of a rubber- or plastics-coated fabric, using a tensile testing machine. This test may be carried out: - either on test specimens conditioned in reference atmospheres; or- on test specimens which have been subjected to any necessary treatment for the application considered, for example dipping.

Diese Norm legt einzuhaltende Prüfbedingungen und Prüfverfahren fest, um die Weiterreißfestigkeit eines trapezförmigen Probekörpers aus mit Kautschuk oder Kunststoff beschichteten Textilien mit einer Zugprüfmaschine zu ermitteln.Diese Prüfung darf entweder ausgeführt werden: - an Probekörpern, die in Referenzklimaten konditioniert wurden oder; - an Probekörpern, die einer für die vorgesehene Anwendung erforderlichen Behandlung unterzogen wurden, z.B. einer Tauchlackierung.

La présente norme fixe les conditions de l'essai et le mode opératoire à suivre pour déterminer, à l'aide d'une machine d'essai de traction, la résistence au déchirement d'une éprouvette trapézoïdale de support textile revêtu de caoutchouc ou de plastique. Cet essai peut être effectué: - soit sur des éprouvettes conditionnées dans les atmosphères de référence; - soit sur des éprouvettes ayant subi tout traitement nécessaire pour l'application envisagée, par exemple le trempage.
