High-voltage switchgear and controlgear - Part 206: Voltage presence indicating systems for rated voltages above 1 kV and up to and including 52 kV

IEC 62271-206:2011 is applicable to voltage presence indicating systems (VPIS) incorporated in a.c. switchgear and controlgear covered by IEC 62271-200 or IEC 62271-201. Voltage presence indicating systems are devices used to provide information to operators about the voltage condition of the main circuit of the switchgear in which they are installed. This first edition of IEC 62271-206 cancels and replaces the first edition of IEC 61958. This edition constitutes a minor revision. The main changes with respect of the first edition of IEC 61958 are an actualization of references and the degree of protection which has been changed from IPXXB to IP2X.

La CEI 62271-206:2011 est applicable aux systèmes indicateurs de présence de tension (VPIS) incorporés dans l'appareillage pour courant alternatif conforme à la CEI 62271 200 ou à la CEI 62271-201. Les systèmes indicateurs de présence de tension sont des dispositifs utilisés pour informer l'exploitant sur l'état de tension du circuit principal de l'appareillage dans lequel ils sont installés. Cette première édition de la CEI 62271-206 annule et remplace la première édition de la CEI 61958. Cette édition constitue une révision mineure. Les principaux changements par rapport à l'édition de la CEI 61958 sont l'actualisation des références et le degré de protection qui passe de IPXXB à IPX2.

Ta del IEC 62271 velja za sisteme za javljanje prisotnosti napetosti (VPIS), vgrajene v izmenične stikalne in krmilne naprave, ki jih zajema IEC 62271-200 ali IEC 62271-201. Sistemi za javljanje prisotnosti napetosti so naprave, ki upravljavcem zagotavljajo informacije o stanju napetosti glavnega vezja stikalnih naprav, v katerih so nameščene. Samo javljanje sistemov VPIS ni dovolj za dokaz, da sistem ni aktiven: če delovni postopki tako zahtevajo, se morajo uporabiti ustrezni detektorji napetosti v skladu z IEC 61243-1, IEC 61243-2 in IEC 61243-5.
Ta standard velja tudi za komparatorje, ki so posebej namenjeni uporabi s sistemi VPIS.

The text of document 17C/491/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 62271-206, prepared by SC 17C,
High-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies, of IEC TC 17, Switchgear and controlgear, was
submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 62271-206 on
2011-03-03.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61958:2001.
The main changes with respect of EN 61958:2001 are an actualization of references and the degree of
protection which has been changed from IPXXB to IP2X.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
The following dates were fixed:
