Identification and communication interoperability method for external power supplies used with portable computing devices

IEC 63002:20016 defines interoperability guidelines for external power supplies used with portable computing devices that implement the IEC 62680-1-2: Universal Serial Bus Power Delivery Specification with the IEC 62680-1-3: Universal Serial Bus Interfaces for data and power-Common Components- Type-CTM Type-C Cable and Connector Specification. It specifies the data objects used by a portable computing system using IEC 62680-1-2 to understand the identity, design and performance characteristics, and operating status of an external power supply. This International Standard is applicable to external power supplies under 100 watts for portable computing devices, with a focus on power delivery application for notebook computers, tablets, smartphones and other related multimedia devices.

L'IEC 63002:20016 définit les lignes directrices en matière d'interopérabilité des alimentations externes utilisées avec les dispositifs informatiques portatifs mis en oeuvre dans le cadre de l'IEC 62680-1-2: Universal Serial Bus Power Delivery Specification avec l'IEC 62680-1-3: Universal Serial Bus Interfaces for data and power - Common Components - Type-CTM Type-C Cable and Connector Specification (disponible en anglais seulement). Elle spécifie les objets de données utilisés par un système informatique portatif s'appuyant sur l'IEC 62680-1-2 pour appréhender les caractéristiques d'identité, de conception et de performances, ainsi que l'état de fonctionnement d'une alimentation externe. La présente Norme internationale s'applique à des alimentations externes de moins de 100 watts destinées à des dispositifs informatiques portatifs, en mettant l'accent sur l'application de distribution de puissance pour les ordinateurs portables, les tablettes, les terminaux de poche et autres dispositifs multimédia connexes.

Specifikacija za dovajanje moči s standardom IEC 62680-1-3: vmesniki USB za podatkovne in močnostne komponente tipa CTM, specifikacija za kable in priključke tipa C.
Ta mednarodni standard določa normativne zahteve za EPS (zunanji napajalnik) za namene zagotavljanja interoperabilnosti; določa zlasti podatke, posredovane iz zunanjega napajalnika v prenosno računalniško napravo (slika 1). Področje uporabe se ne uporablja za vse vidike zunanjega napajalnika. Ta mednarodni standard ne določa normativnih zahtev za prenosno računalniško napravo, temveč podaje priporočila za delovanje prenosne računalniške naprave, kadar se uporablja z zunanjim napajalnikom v skladu s tem mednarodnim standardom.
Ta mednarodni standard določa podatkovne objekte, ki jih uporablja prenosni računalniški sistem v skladu s standardom IEC 62680-1-2 za razumevanje identitete, zasnove in zmogljivosti ter stanja delovanja zunanjega napajalnika. Ta mednarodni standard se uporablja za zunanje napajalnike z močjo manj kot 100 W za prenosne računalniške naprave, s poudarkom na zagotavljanju moči prenosnim računalnikom, tabličnim računalnikom, pametnim telefonom in drugim povezanim večpredstavnostnim napravam.
Ta mednarodni standard temelji na uveljavljenih mehanskih in električnih specifikacijah ter komunikacijskih protokolih, ki jih določata IEC 62680-1-2 in IEC 62680-1-3. Ta mednarodni standard predlaga metode, ki jih podpira IEC 62680-1-2, za zmanjšanje težav, ki jih povzroča povezava nepreizkušenih kombinacij zunanjih napajalnikov in prenosnih računalniških naprav s ciljem povečati zadovoljstvo potrošnikov.
Poleg tega ta mednarodni standard, kot je podano v dodatku C, določa smernice glede interoperabilnosti za polnjenje, ki podpira uporabo zunanjega napajalnika z uporabo toka prek priključka USB tipa C, kadar funkcionalnost IEC 62680-1-2 ni omogočena. Zunanji napajalnik mora izpolnjevati določila ustreznih globalnih standardov in zahteve glede skladnosti s predpisi. Primeri teh standardov so navedeni v dodatku F.
