IEC 60131-4:1987

Lever switches. Part 4: Requirements for miniature toggle switches

Specifies IEC type designation, dimensions, characteristics (climatic, electrical and mechanical) and test schedules for one, two, three and four-pole centrally bush mounted miniature lever switches for use in electrical and electronic equipment, having a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V and a rated current not exceeding 6 A. The switches covered by this specification are not intended for use as main switches and therefore the requirements of IEC 65 do not apply.

Donne la désignation de type CEI, les dimensions, caractéristiques (climatiques, électriques et mécaniques) et les programmes d'essais applicables aux interrupteurs miniatures à levier, à montage par canon central, ayant un, deux, trois ou quatre pôles, destinés aux équipements électriques et électroniques, d'une tension nominale n'excédant pas 250 V et d'un courant nominal ne dépassant pas 6 A. Les interrupteurs faisant référence à cette spécification ne sont pas destinés à être utilisés comme interrupteurs de réseau: en conséquence les prescriptions de la CEI 65 ne leur sont pas applicables.

FOREWORD
1) The formal decisions or agreements of the IE C on technical matters, prepared by Technical Committees on which all the
National Committees having a special interest therein are represented, express, as nearly as possible, an inte rnational
consensus of opinion on the subjects dealt with.
They have the form of recommendations for international use and they are accepted by the National Committees in that

sense.
3) In order to promote international unification, the I E C expresses the wish that all National Committees should adopt the
text of the IEC recommendation for their national rules in so far as national conditions will permit. Any divergence
between the IEC recommendation and the corresponding national rules should, as far as possible, be clearly indicated in
the latter.
PREFACE
This standard has been prepared by Sub-Committee 41B: Measuring Relays, of I E C Technical
Committee No. 41: Electrical Relays.
Drafts were discussed at the meeting held in Milan in 1977. A draft, Document 41B(Central
Office)11, was submitted to the National Committees for approval under the Six Months' Rule in
May 1978.
