Agricultural and forestry machinery - Seed drills - Safety
This European Standard, applied together with EN 1553:1999, specifies the safety requirements and their verification for design and construction of mounted, semi-mounted, trailed or self-propelled seed drills, including the seeding function of combined seed and fertilizer drills, used in agriculture and in forestry. In addition, this European Standard specifies the type of information on safe working practices (including residual risks) to be provided by the manufacturer. When requirements of this European Standard are different from those which are stated in EN 1553:1999 the requirements of this European Standard take precedence over the requirements of EN 1553:1999 for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this European Standard. It does not apply to: - fertilizer distributors designed only for solid fertilizer application (dealt with in EN 14017); - seed drills with integrated and inseparable powered soil working tools (see 3.2). This European Standard deals with all the significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to seed drills, when they are used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer (see Clause 4), excepting the hazards arising from: - electrostatic phenomena; - external influences on electrical equipment; - failure of energy supply; - failure, malfunction of control system; - inadequate visibility from drivers/operators position; - travelling functions (drive, braking etc.); - break-up of parts rotating at high speed; - equipment for loading seeds (and fertilizer). It is not applicable to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) nor to environmental hazards (except noise). These aspects are covered by EN 13740-1:2003 and EN 13740-2:2003 for combined seed and solid fertilizer drills. This European Standard is not applicable to seed drills which are manufactured before the date of its publication as EN.

Diese Europäische Norm, gemeinsam mit EN 1553:1999 angewendet, enthält sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen und deren Überprüfung für Gestaltung und Konstruktion von angebauten, aufgesattelten, gezogenen oder selbstfahrenden Sämaschinen, einschließlich der Säfunktion von kombinierten Sämaschinen mit Düngerausbringung, zur Verwendung in Land- und Forstwirtschaft. Außerdem gibt diese Europäische Norm Informationen über sicheres Arbeiten (einschließlich Restgefährdungen), die vom Hersteller zur Verfügung zu stellen sind.
Wenn Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm von den Anforderungen in EN 1553:1999 abweichen, haben die Anforderungen dieser Europäische Norm Vorrang gegenüber den Anforderungen von EN 1553:1999 für Maschinen, die nach den Bestimmungen dieser Europäische Norm konzipiert und gebaut worden sind.
Sie gilt nicht für:
- Düngerstreuer ausschließlich zum Ausbringen von Mineraldünger (behandelt in EN 14017);
- Sämaschinen mit integrierten, untrennbar verbundenen kraftbetriebenen Bodenbearbeitungswerkzeugen (siehe 3.2).
ANMERKUNG Kraftbetriebene Bodenbearbeitungswerkzeuge sind in EN 708:1996 und EN 708:1996/A1:2000 behandelt.
Diese Europäische Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Gefährdungsereignisse von Sämaschinen, wenn sie wie beabsichtigt und entsprechend den vom Hersteller vorgesehenen Bedingungen verwendet werden (siehe Abschnitt 4), mit Ausnahme der Gefährdungen durch:
- elektrostatische Vorgänge;
- äußere Einflüsse auf elektrische Betriebsmittel;
- Ausfall der Energieversorgung;
- Ausfall, Fehlfunktion des Steuer- bzw. Regelsystems;
- unangemessene Sicht von der Fahrer-/Bedienerposition;
- Verfahren der Maschine (Fahren, Bremsen, übermäßige Schwingungen, usw.);
- Bruch von mit hoher Geschwindigkeit rotierenden Teilen;
- Geräte zum Laden von Saatgut (und Dünger).
Sie gilt nicht für elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (EMV), noch für Umweltgefährdungen (ausgenommen Geräusche). (....)

La présente Norme européenne, appliquée conjointement avec l’EN 1553:1999, détermine les prescriptions de
sécurité et leur mode de vérification au niveau de la conception et de la construction des semoirs portés, semi-portés,
traînés ou automoteurs, y compris concernant la fonction des semoirs combinés !avec des distributeurs
d’engrais" utilisés en agriculture et en sylviculture. En outre, la présente Norme européenne spécifie le type
d'informations que le fabricant doit fournir sur les pratiques d'utilisation sûre (incluant les risques résiduels).
Lorsque des dispositions de la présente Norme européenne sont différentes de celles mentionnées
dans l'EN 1553:1999, les dispositions de la présente Norme européenne prennent le pas sur les dispositions
de l'EN 1553:1999, pour les machines qui ont été conçues et fabriquées suivant les dispositions de la présente
Norme européenne.
Elle ne s'applique pas :
— aux distributeurs d'engrais destinés uniquement à l'application d'engrais solides (faisant l'objet de l’EN 14017) ;
— aux semoirs avec outils de travail du sol animés, intégrés et indissociables (voir 3.2).
NOTE Les outils de travail du sol animés sont traités dans l’EN 708:1996 et l’EN 708:1996/A1:2000.
La présente Norme européenne traite de tous les phénomènes dangereux, situations dangereuses et événements
dangereux relatifs aux semoirs, dans le cadre de l’utilisation prévue et dans les conditions prévues par le fabricant
(voir Article 4), à l’exception des phénomènes dangereux liés :
— à des phénomènes électrostatiques ;
— à des influences extérieures sur l’équipement électrique ;
— à une défaillance de l’alimentation en énergie ;
— à des défaillances ou dysfonctionnements du circuit de commande ;
— à une mauvaise visibilité du poste du conducteur/ de l’opérateur ;
— aux fonctions de déplacement (conduite, freinage, etc.) ;
— à la rupture de pièces en rotation à grande vitesse ;
— aux dispositifs de chargement des semences (et engrais).

Ta evropski standard, ki se uporablja skupaj z EN 1553:1999, opredeljuje varnostne zahteve in njihovo preverjanje pri načrtovanju in izdelavi nošenih, polnošenih, vlečenih ali samognanih sejalnic, vključno s kombinirano funkcijo sejanja in gnojenja, ki se uporabljajo v kmetijstvu in gozdarstvu. Poleg tega ta evropski standard opredeljuje vrste podatkov glede varnih delovnih praks (vključno s preostalimi tveganji), ki jih mora zagotoviti proizvajalec. Kadar se zahteve tega evropskega standarda razlikujejo od zahtev, ki so navedene v EN 1553:1999, imajo zahteve tega evropskega standarda prednost pred zahtevami EN 1553:1999 za stroje, ki so bili načrtovani in izdelani v skladu z določbami tega evropskega standarda. EN 14018:2005+A1:2009 (E) 4 Introduction This European Standard is a type C standard as stated in EN ISO 12100-1. The machinery concerned and the extent to which hazards, hazardous situations and hazardous events are covered are indicated in the scope of this European Standard. These hazards are specific to seed drills. Significant hazards that are common to all agricultural machines (self-propelled, mounted, semi-mounted and trailed) are dealt with in EN 1553:1999. When provisions of this type C standard are different from those which are stated in type A or B standards, the provisions of this type C standard take precedence over the provisions of the other standards, for machines that have been designed and built according to the provisions of this type C standard. EN 14018:2005+A1:2009 (E) 9 5.2 Controls 5.2.1 Manual controls for the adjustments located on the machines which are intended to be mounted at the rear of soil working machines with powered tools shall meet the following requirements: a) the adjustments shall be possible with the machine stopped; b) the manual controls shall be located so that the operator does not need to be at the front of the machine to activate them. This requirement is met if manual controls are accessible to the operator standing on the ground and not located in the shaded area as shown in Figure 1. This shall be verified by measurement and inspection. Markers are excluded from the outer limits of the seed drill. See also 7.1 a). Dimensions in millimetres
