Steel wire and wire products - Hose reinforcement wire

This document specifies the composition, dimensions and mechanical properties of high carbon steel wire for reinforcing high pressure hoses. It is applicable to wire used as a multiple parallel wire braided or spirally wrapped reinforcement in a rubber or synthetic hose which is made to withstand relatively high bursting pressure.

Dieses Dokument legt die Zusammensetzung, die Maße und die mechanischen Eigenschaften fest von Stahldraht mit hohem Kohlenstoffgehalt zur Armierung von Hochdruckschläuchen. Es gilt für Draht, der als mehrfach parallel gewickelte oder spiralförmig gewickelte Bewehrung in einem Gummi- oder Synthetikschlauch verwendet wird, der relativ hohem Berstdruck widerstehen muss.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie la composition, les dimensions, les propriétés mécaniques du fil en acier dur au carbone destiné au renforcement de flexibles haute pression. Elle est applicable aux fils de renforcement multiples paralleles tressés ou enroulés en spirale dans un flexible en caoutchouc ou en matiere synthétique conçu pour résister a une pression d'éclatement relativement élevée.

EN 10324:2004 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 10324:2004) has been prepared by Technical Committee ECISS/TC 30 “Steel wire”, the secretariat of which is held by BSI. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2005, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2005.
