Magnetic materials - Methods of measurement of magnetic properties of magnetic steel sheet and strip at medium frequencies

This European Standard is applicable to magnetic steel sheet and strip for the construction of magnetic circuits for use in the frequency range 400 Hz to 10 000 Hz. Its object is to define the terminology and to specify the methods for the measurement of magnetic properties of magnetic steel sheet and strip.

Magnetische Werkstoffe - Verfahren zur Messung der magnetischen Eigenschaften von Elektroblech und -band bei mittleren Frequenzen

Diese Norm gilt für Elektroblech und -band, das für den Aufbau magnetischer Kreise bestimmt ist, die im Frequenzbereich 400 Hz bis 10 000 Hz betrieben werden. Ihr Zweck ist es, die Terminologie zu definieren und Verfahren zur Messung der magnetischen Eigenschaften von Elektroblech und -band festzulegen.

Matériaux magnétiques - Méthodes de mesure des propriétés magnétiques a fréquences moyennes des tôles et feuillards magnétiques en acier

La présente norme européenne est applicable aux tôles et feuillards magnétiques en acier destinés a la construction des circuits magnétiques utilisés aux fréquences comprises entre 400 Hz et 10 000 Hz. Elle a pour objet de définir la terminologie et de spécifier les méthodes de mesure des propriétés magnétiques des tôles et feuillards magnétiques en acier.

This document establishes a classification of surface insulations for electrical steel sheet, strip and laminations according to their general composition, relative insulating ability and function.
These surface insulations are either oxide layers or applied coatings.
The purpose of this classification is to create a nomenclature for the various types of surface insulations and to assist users of surface insulations by providing general information about the chemical nature and use of the surface insulations.
It is not the intent of this classification to specify insulation requirements in terms of specific values of surface insulation resistance. Such requirements are to be agreed between the purchaser and the steel producer, where applicable.
The classification is to be used in conjunction with the various specifications for cold rolled electrical steels (see the European Standards listed in Clause 2).
