Destructive tests on welds in metallic materials - Tensile test on cruciform and lapped joints (ISO 9018:2015)
ISO 9018:2015 specifies the sizes of test pieces and test specimens, and the procedure for carrying out tensile tests, for determining the tensile strength and location of fractures in welded joints with transverse stressed fillet welds.
It is applicable to metallic materials with welded cruciform and lapped joints on plates, where the term plate ? alone or in combination ? refers to plates, sheets, extruded bars or other solid sections.
Information concerning the evaluation of test results is not included in this International Standard.

ISO 9018:2015 spécifie les dimensions des pièces d'essai et des éprouvettes ainsi que le mode opératoire d'essai de traction pour déterminer la résistance à la traction et l'emplacement de la cassure pour des assemblages soudés comportant des soudures d'angle soumises à des contraintes transversales.
Elle s'applique aux assemblages en croix et à recouvrement de tôles en matériaux métalliques, où le terme tôle ? utilisé seul ou en combinaison ? désigne les tôles épaisses, les tôles minces, les barres extrudées ou autres profilés pleins.
La présente Norme internationale ne fournit pas d'informations sur l'évaluation des résultats d'essai.

Ta mednarodni standard določa velikosti preskušancev in preskusnih vzorcev ter postopek za izvajanje nateznih preskusov za ugotavljanje natezne trdnosti in mest zlomov v zvarjenih spojih s prečno obremenjenimi kotnimi zvari. Uporablja se za kovinske materiale z zvarjenimi križnimi in prekrovnimi spoji na ploščah, pri čemer se izraz plošča, samostojno ali v kombinaciji, nanaša na plošče, trakove, iztiskane palice ali druge trdne dele. Informacije glede ocenjevanja rezultatov preskusa niso vključene v tem mednarodnem standardu.

This document (EN ISO 9018:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 “Welding
and allied processes” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2016, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2016.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 9018:2003.
