This document defines the generic names used to designate the different categories of man-made fibres, based on a main polymer, currently manufactured on an industrial scale for textile and other purposes, together with the distinguishing attributes that characterize them. The term “man-made fibres” has been adopted for those fibres obtained by a manufacturing process, as distinct from materials which occur naturally in fibrous form.
This document gives recommendations of rules for the creation of the generic name (see Annex A).
NOTE These rules have been introduced in the sixth edition of ISO 2076, and thus, they are not applicable to the existing generic names of the previous editions.

Dieses Dokument legt die Gattungsnamen zur Bezeichnung der verschiedenen Gattungen von Chemiefasern fest, die auf einem Hauptpolymer basieren, das laufend in industriellem Maßstab für Textilien und ähnliche Zwecke hergestellt wird, gemeinsam mit den Unterscheidungsmerkmalen, die sie charakterisieren. Der Begriff „Chemiefasern“ wird für die Fasern verwendet die durch ein Herstellungsverfahren erhalten werden, im Gegensatz zu Materialien, die natürlicherweise in Faserform auftreten.
Dieses Dokument enthält Empfehlungen für die Regeln zur Erstellung von Gattungsnamen (siehe Anhang A).
ANMERKUNG Diese Regeln wurden in der sechsten Ausgabe von ISO 2076 eingeführt und sind somit nicht auf die bestehenden Gattungsnamen der vorherigen Ausgaben anwendbar.

Le présent document définit des noms génériques utilisés pour désigner les différentes catégories de fibres chimiques, basées sur un polymère principal, fabriquées actuellement à l’échelle industrielle, à usage textile et autres, et indique les caractères distinctifs permettant de les différencier. Le terme «fibres chimiques» a été adopté pour désigner les fibres obtenues par un processus de fabrication et pour les distinguer des matériaux qui apparaissent naturellement sous forme fibreuse.
Le présent document donne les règles recommandées pour la création du nom générique (voir l’Annexe A).
NOTE Ces règles ont été introduites dans la sixième édition de l’ISO 2076 et elles ne sont, par conséquent, pas applicables aux noms génériques existants figurant dans les éditions précédentes.

Ta dokument navaja rodovna imena, ki se uporabljajo za oznako različnih kategorij kemičnih vlaken na osnovi glavnega polimera, ki se trenutno proizvajajo na industrijski ravni za tekstilije in druge namene, skupaj z izstopajočimi lastnostmi, ki jih razlikujejo od drugih vlaken. Izraz »kemična vlakna«, opisuje vlakna, ki se pridobijo med proizvodnim procesom, po čemer se ločijo od materialov, ki nastanejo naravno v vlaknati obliki. V tem dokumentu so podana priporočila glede pravil za oblikovanje rodovnega imena (glej dodatek A). OPOMBA: Ta pravila so bila uvedena v šesti izdaji standarda ISO 2076 in se zato ne uporabljajo za obstoječa rodovna imena prejšnjih izdaj.

This document (EN ISO 2076:2021) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 38 "Textiles" in
collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products” the secretariat of
which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2022, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 2076:2013.
Any feedback and questions on this document should be directed to the users’ national standards

Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf wird den CEN-Mitgliedern zur parallelen Umfrage vorgelegt. Er wurde vom Technischen
Komitee CEN/TC 248 erstellt.
