and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied

processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2021, and conflicting national standards shall

be withdrawn at the latest by October 2021.

This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 3834-3:2005), of which it constitutes a

minor revision.
The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
— editorial revisions;
— update of references to the latest edition of ISO 3834-5;

— rewrite of Clause 16 on calibration and validation of measuring, inspection and test equipment.

processes“ in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Technischen Komitee CEN/TC 121 „Schweißen und verwandte

Verfahren“ erarbeitet, dessen Sekretariat von DIN gehalten wird.

Diese Europäische Norm muss den Status einer nationalen Norm erhalten, entweder durch Veröffentlichung

eines identischen Textes oder durch Anerkennung bis Oktober 2021, und etwaige entgegenstehende

Vorwort

ISO (die Internationale Organisation für Normung) ist eine weltweite Vereinigung nationaler

Normungsinstitute (ISO-Mitgliedsorganisationen). Die Erstellung von Internationalen Normen wird

üblicherweise von Technischen Komitees von ISO durchgeführt. Jede Mitgliedsorganisation, die Interesse an

5 Überprüfung der Anforderungen und technische Überprüfung
5.1 Allgemeines

Der Hersteller muss die vertraglichen Anforderungen und alle anderen Anforderungen zusammen mit den

vom Kunden bereitgestellten technischen Daten oder mit den hauseigenen Daten, wenn die Bauteile vom

Hersteller konstruiert werden, überprüfen. Der Hersteller muss sicherstellen, dass alle Informationen, die

notwendig sind, um die Herstellungsschritte auszuführen, vollständig vor Beginn der Arbeiten vorliegen. Der

Hersteller muss seine Fähigkeit bestätigen, alle Anforderungen zu erfüllen und eine angemessene Planung

aller qualitätsrelevanten Tätigkeiten sicherzustellen.

Die Überprüfung der Anforderungen wird durch den Hersteller durchgeführt, um sicherzustellen, dass

— die durchzuführenden Arbeiten seine Fähigkeiten nicht überschreiten,
— ausreichende Mittel vorhanden sind, um die Liefertermine einzuhalten, und
— die Dokumentation übersichtlich und eindeutig ist.

Der Hersteller muss sicherstellen, dass etwaige Abweichungen zwischen Vertrag und einem früheren

Angebot ausgewiesen werden und dem Besteller alle Änderungen der Programme, Kosten oder

Ingenieurleistungen, die sich daraus ergeben können, bekannt gegeben werden.

5 Review of requirements and technical review
5.1 General

The manufacturer shall review the contractual requirements and any other requirements, together

with any technical data provided by the purchaser or in-house data when the construction is designed

by the manufacturer. The manufacturer shall establish that all information necessary to carry out

the manufacturing operations is complete and available prior to the commencement of the work. The

manufacturer shall affirm its capability to meet all requirements and shall ensure adequate planning of

all quality-related activities.
The review of requirements is carried out by the manufacturer to verify that:
— the work content is within its capability to perform;
— sufficient resources are available to achieve delivery schedules; and
— documentation is clear and unambiguous.
