Refuse collection vehicles - General requirements and safety requirements - Part 1: Rear loaded refuse collection vehicles

This European Standard applies to rear loaded refuse collection vehicles (RCV), as defined in 3.2.
This European Standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events relevant to the rear loaded RCV, when it is used as intended and under conditions of misuse which are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer, throughout its foreseeable lifetime, as defined in Clause 4.
This European Standard is applicable to the design and construction of the rear loaded RCV so as to ensure that it is fit for its function and can be operated adjusted and maintained during its entire lifetime. It is not applicable to the end of life of the rear loaded RCV.
This part 1 describes and defines the safety requirements of rear loaded RCV excluding the interface tailgate/discharge door with the lifting device(s) and the lifting device(s) as illustrated in Figure A.1.
Safety requirements for the lifting device(s) and the interface with the tailgate/discharge door are defined in prEN 1501-5.
This European Standard is not applicable to:
- operation in severe conditions e.g. extreme environmental conditions such as:
- below - 25 °C and above + 40 °C temperatures;
- tropical environment;
- wind velocity in excess of 75 km/h;
- contaminating environment;
- corrosive environment;
- operation in potentially explosive atmospheres;
- handling of loads the nature of which could lead to dangerous situations (e.g. hot wastes, acids and bases, radioactive materials, contaminated waste, especially fragile loads, explosives);
- operation on ships.
This European Standard is not applicable to machinery which is manufactured before the date of publication of this document by CEN.

Abfallsammelfahrzeuge - Allgemeine Anforderungen und Sicherheitsanforderungen - Teil 1: Hecklader

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Hecklader-Abfallsammelfahrzeuge, wie nach 3.2 definiert.
Diese Europäische Norm behandelt alle signifikanten Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen und Ereignisse
im Hinblick auf Hecklader-ASF bei bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch und bei Zuständen von Missbrauch,
welche vom Hersteller während der voraussichtlichen Lebensdauer vernünftigerweise vorhersehbar sind, wie
in Abschnitt 4 festgelegt.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für die Gestaltung und Konstruktion eines Hecklader-ASF, um sicherzustellen,
dass es für seine Aufgabe geeignet ist und dass es während seiner gesamten Lebensdauer betrieben,
eingestellt und instand gehalten werden kann. Sie gilt nicht für das Ende der Lebensdauer des Hecklader-
ASF.
Dieser Teil 1 beschreibt und bestimmt die Sicherheitsanforderungen für Hecklader-ASF unter Ausschluss der
Schnittstelle Heckteil/Entladetür mit Schüttung(en) und der(n) Schüttung(en) selbst, wie in Bild A.1
beschrieben.
Sicherheitsanforderungen für die Schüttung(en) und die Schnittstelle mit der Heckteil/Entladungstür sind in
EN 1501-5 spezifiziert.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für:
⎯ Betrieb unter Extrembedingungen, z. B. extreme Umgebungsbedingungen, wie:
⎯ Temperaturen unter −25 °C und über +40 °C;
⎯ tropische Umgebung;
⎯ Windgeschwindigkeiten von mehr als 75 km/h;
⎯ verunreinigende Umgebung;
⎯ korrosive Atmosphäre;
⎯ Betrieb in explosionsfähigen Atmosphären;
⎯ Handhabung von Ladungen, die Gefährdungssituationen auslösen können (z. B. heiße Abfälle, Säuren
und Basen, radioaktive Stoffe, verunreinigter Abfall, besonders zerbrechliche Ladungen, Explosivstoffe);
⎯ Einsatz auf Schiffen.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Maschinen, die vor dem Datum der Veröffentlichung dieses
Dokumentes durch CEN hergestellt wurden.

Bennes de collecte des déchets - Exigences générales et exigences de sécurité - Partie 1: Bennes à chargement arrière

La présente Norme européenne s’applique aux bennes de collecte des déchets (B.C.D.) à chargement arrière,
telles que définies en 3.2.
La présente Norme européenne traite de tous les dangers, situations et phénomènes dangereux importants
relatifs aux B.C.D. à chargement arrière, tels que définis à l’Article 4, lorsqu’elles sont utilisées conformément
aux attentes et dans des conditions de mauvaise utilisation raisonnablement prévisibles par le constructeur,
durant toute leur durée de vie prévue.
La présente Norme européenne est applicable à la conception et à la construction des B.C.D. à chargement
arrière, en vue de garantir que les bennes puissent accomplir leur fonction et être utilisées, ajustées et
entretenues durant tout leur cycle de vie. Elle ne s’applique pas à la fin de vie des B.C.D. à chargement
arrière.
La partie 1 décrit et définit les exigences de sécurité des B.C.D. à chargement arrière, à l’exclusion de
l’interface porte arrière/porte de déchargement avec le(s) lève-conteneurs et du (des) lève-conteneurs, telle
qu’illustrée à la Figure A.1.
Les exigences de sécurité des lève-conteneurs et de l’interface avec la porte arrière/porte de déchargement
sont définies dans l’EN 1501-5.
La présente Norme européenne ne s’applique pas :
⎯ au fonctionnement dans des conditions difficiles, par exemple, des conditions environnementales
extrêmes, telles que :
⎯ des températures inférieures à – 25 °C et supérieures à + 40 °C ;
⎯ un environnement tropical ;
⎯ une vitesse de vent dépassant 75 km/h ;
⎯ aux milieux polluants ;
⎯ aux environnements corrosifs ;
⎯ au fonctionnement dans des atmosphères potentiellement explosives ;
⎯ à la manutention de chargements dont la nature pourrait donner lieu à des situations dangereuses (par
exemple, déchets chauds, acides et bases, matériaux radioactifs, déchets contaminés, chargements
particulièrement fragiles, explosifs) ;
⎯ au fonctionnement sur les navires.
La présente Norme européenne ne s’applique pas aux machines fabriquées avant la date de publication de
ce document par le CEN.

Ta evropski standard se uporablja za vozila za zbiranje odpadkov z nakladanjem zadaj, kot je opredeljeno v 3.2. Ta evropski standard obravnava vse velike nevarnosti, nevarne situacije in primere v zvezi z vozili za zbiranje odpadkov z nakladanjem zadaj, kadar se uporabljajo, kot je predvideno, in pod pogoji napačne uporabe, ki jih razumno predvidi proizvajalec, v celotni predvideni življenjski dobi, kot je opredeljeno v točki 4.
