Personal protective equipment against falls from a height - Guided type fall arresters on a flexible anchorage line

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, instructions for use and marking for guided type fall arresters on a flexible anchorage line secured to an upper anchorage point. Guided type fall arresters according to this standard are used in fall arrest systems specified in EN 363 in conjunction with full body harnesses specified in EN 361. Other types of fall arresters are specified in EN 360 and in EN 353-1. Energy absorbers are specified in EN 355.

Diese Norm legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren, Gebrauchsanleitung und Kennzeichnung für mitlaufende Auffanggeräte (Seilkürzer) an beweglichen Führungen fest, die an einem oberen Anschlagpunkt befestigt sind. Mitlaufende Auffanggeräte (Seilkürzer) nach dieser Norm werden in Auffangsystemen entsprechend EN 363 in Verbindung mit Auffanggurten entsprechend EN 361 verwendet. Andere Arten von Auffanggeräten sind in EN 360 und in EN 353-1 spezifiziert. Falldämpfer sind in EN 355 spezifiziert.

Equipement de protection individuelle contre les chutes de hauteur - Antichutes mobiles sur support d'assurage flexible

La présente norme fixe les exigences, les méthodes d'essai, le mode d'emploi, le marquage et l'étiquetage des antichutes mobiles sur support d'assurage flexible fixé à un point d'ancrage supérieur. Les antichutes mobiles conformes à la présente norme sont utilisés dans des systèmes d'arrêt de chutes spécifiés dans l'EN 363 conjointement aux harnais d'antichutes spécifiés dans l'EN 361. D'autres types d'antichutes sont spécifiés dans l'EN 360 et l'EN 353-1. Les absorbeurs d'énergie sont spécifiés dans l'EN 355.

These anchor devices incorporate stationary or travelling (mobile) anchor points designed for the attachment of components of a personal fall protection system in accordance with EN 363.
This European Standard also gives requirements for marking and instructions for use, and guidance on installation.
This European Standard is not applicable to:
-   anchor devices intended to allow more than one user to be attached at any one time;
-   anchor devices used in any sports or recreational activity;
-   equipment designed to conform to EN 516 or EN 517;
-   elements or parts of structures which were installed for use other than as anchor points or anchor devices, e.g. beams, girders;
-   structural anchors (see 3.3).
