Standardization and related activities - General vocabulary (ISO/IEC Guide 2:2004)
ISO/IEC Guide 2:2004 provides general terms and definitions concerning standardization and related activities. It is intended to contribute fundamentally towards mutual understanding amongst the members of ISO and IEC and the various governmental and non-governmental agencies involved in standardization at international, regional and national levels. It is intended also to provide a suitable source for teaching and for reference, briefly covering basic theoretical and practical principles of standardization, certification and laboratory accreditation.
It is not the aim of ISO/IEC Guide 2:2004 to duplicate definitions of terms adequately defined for general purposes in other authoritative international vocabularies.
NOTE 1 From this point of view, particular attention is drawn to the International vocabulary of basic and general terms in metrology (VIM) jointly prepared by ISO, IEC, BIPM, IFCC, IUPAC, IUPAP and OIML, and published in 1993 (second edition).
NOTE 2 In addition to the terms given in the official languages of ISO and IEC (English, French and Russian), equivalent terms provided by the relevant member bodies are given in the following languages:
German (de);
Spanish (es);
Italian (it);
Dutch (nl);
Swedish (sv).

Le Guide ISO/CEI 2 fournit des termes généraux et leurs définitions concernant la normalisation et les activités connexes. Il est prévu pour contribuer, de manière fondamentale, à la compréhension mutuelle entre les membres de l'ISO, de la CEI et des diverses institutions gouvernementales et non gouvernementales engagées dans la normalisation aux niveaux international, régional et national. Il est prévu également pour constituer un instrument de formation ou de référence couvrant brièvement les principes de base, théoriques et pratiques, de la normalisation, de la certification et de l'accréditation des laboratoires d'essais.
L'objet du Guide ISO/CEI 2 n'est pas de redonner les définitions de termes déjà définis de façon satisfaisante dans leur sens général par d'autres vocabulaires internationaux faisant autorité.
NOTE 1 Une attention particulière doit être portée, à cet égard, au Vocabulaire international des termes fondamentaux et généraux de métrologie (VIM) préparé conjointement par l'ISO, la CEI, le BIPM, la FICC, l'OIML, l'UICPA et l'UIPPA et qui a été publié en 1993 (deuxième édition).
NOTE 2 En plus des termes donnés dans les langues officielles de l'ISO et de la CEI (anglais, français et russe), les termes équivalents fournis par les comités membres responsables sont donnés dans les langues suivantes :

This European Standard was approved by CEN and CENELEC on 5 November 2006.
CEN and CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations which stipulate the conditions for giving
this European Standard the status of a national standard without any alteration. Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning
such national standards may be obtained on application to the CEN Management Centre or to any CEN or CENELEC member.
This European Standard exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language made by translation
under the responsibility of a CEN and/or CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the CEN Management Centre has the
same status as the official versions.
CEN and CENELEC members are the national standards bodies and national electrotechnical committees, respectively, of Austria,
Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania,

La présente Norme européenne a été adoptée par le CEN et le CENELEC le 5 novembre 2006.
Les membres du CEN et du CENELEC sont tenus de se soumettre au Règlement Intérieur du CEN/CENELEC, qui définit les conditions
dans lesquelles doit être attribué, sans modification, le statut de norme nationale à la Norme européenne. Les listes mises à jour et les
références bibliographiques relatives à ces normes nationales peuvent être obtenues auprès du Centre de Gestion du CEN ou auprès des
membres du CEN ou du CENELEC.
La présente Norme européenne existe en trois versions officielles (allemand, anglais, français). Une version dans une autre langue faite

NACIONALNI UVOD
Standard SIST EN 45020 (sl, en, de, fr), Standardizacija in z njo povezane dejavnosti – Splošni slovar
(ISO/IEC Vodilo 2:2004), 2007, ima status slovenskega standarda in je istoveten evropskemu
standardu EN 45020 (en, de, fr), Standardization and related activities – General vocabulary (ISO/IEC
Guide 2:2004), 2006-12-01.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Besedilo ISO/IEC Vodila 2:2004 je pripravil Odbor za ugotavljanje skladnosti ISO/CASCO; kot
evropski standard EN 45020 ga je leta 2006 privzel tehnični odbor CEN/CLC/TC1 Merila za organe za
ugotavljanje skladnosti, odobrila pa sta ga CEN in CENELEC.
Slovenski standard SIST EN 45020:2007 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 45020:2006. Ob sporu
zaradi besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v
angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC VZK Vodenje in
zagotavljanje kakovosti.

Ta evropski standard sta 5. novembra 2006 odobrila CEN in CENELEC.
Člani CEN in CENELEC morajo izpolnjevati notranje predpise CEN/CENELEC, ki določajo pogoje,
pod katerimi dobi ta standard status nacionalnega standarda brez kakršnihkoli sprememb. Sezname
najnovejših izdaj teh nacionalnih standardov in njihove bibliografske podatke je mogoče na zahtevo
dobiti pri Upravnem centru CEN ali pri članih CEN oziroma CENELEC.
Ta evropski standard obstaja v treh uradnih izdajah (angleški, francoski in nemški). Izdaje v drugih
jezikih, ki jih člani CEN in/ali CENELEC na lastno odgovornost prevedejo in izdajo ter priglasijo pri
