This document specifies a method for the gas-chromatographic determination of the qualitative and quantitative composition of solvents contained in a product. The method is applicable to coating materials containing solely organic solvents (generally called conventional coating materials) and binder solutions and non-aqueous dispersions containing solely organic solvents.
The method defined in this document is not applicable for determination of volatile organic compounds (VOC) and semi-volatile organic compounds (SVOC) content.
NOTE For determination of VOC and SVOC, see ISO 11890-2.
Lösemittel für Beschichtungsstoffe - Bestimmung der Lösemittel in ausschließlich organische Lösemittel enthaltenden Beschichtungsstoffen - Gaschromatographisches Verfahren (ISO 23322:2021)
Dieses Dokument legt ein Verfahren zur gaschromatographischen Bestimmung der qualitativen und quantitativen Zusammensetzung der in einem Produkt enthaltenen Lösemittel fest. Das Verfahren ist anwend¬bar auf Beschichtungsstoffe, die ausschließlich organische Lösemittel enthalten (allgemein als konventionelle Beschichtungsstoffe bezeichnet) sowie auf Bindemittellösungen und nichtwässrige Dispersionen, die aus¬schließlich organische Lösemittel enthalten.
Das in diesem Dokument beschriebene Verfahren gilt nicht für die Bestimmung des Gehalts an flüchtigen organischen Verbindungen (VOC, en: volatile organic compounds) und schwerflüchtigen organischen Ver-bindungen (SVOC, en: semi-volatile organic compounds).

Le présent document spécifie une méthode pour la détermination par chromatographie en phase gazeuse de la composition qualitative et quantitative de solvants contenus dans un produit. La méthode est applicable aux produits de peinture contenant uniquement des solvants organiques (généralement appelés produits de peinture conventionnels) et aux solutions de liant et dispersions non aqueuses contenant uniquement des solvants organiques.
La méthode définie dans le présent document n'est pas applicable à la détermination de la teneur en composés organiques volatils (COV) et composés organiques semi-volatils (COSV).
NOTE Pour la détermination des COV et des COSV, voir l'ISO 11890-2.

Ta dokument določa metodo za določevanje kvalitativne in kvantitativne sestave topil v izdelku s plinsko kromatografijo. Ta metoda se uporablja za premaze, ki vsebujejo samo organska topila (t. i. konvencionalni premazi), ter vezivne raztopine in nevodne disperzije, ki vsebujejo samo organska topila.
Metoda, opredeljena v tem dokumentu, se ne uporablja za določevanje vsebnosti hlapnih organskih spojin (VOC) in polhlapnih organskih spojin (SVOC).
Za določitev hlapnih organskih spojin in polhlapnih organskih spojin glej standard ISO 11890-2.

The text of ISO 23322:2021 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 35 "Paints and
varnishes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
EN ISO 23322:2021 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 139 “Paints and varnishes” the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2022, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by June 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
