Air quality - Stationary source emissions - Determination of total mercury: automated measuring systems

This European Standard specifies specific requirements on automated measuring systems (AMS) for monitoring of total mercury. It is derived from EN 14181, which is the general document on the quality assurance of AMS. It is only applicable in conjunction with EN 14181.
This European Standard sets specific requirements for the quality assurance levels and annual surveillance test as specified in EN 14181, for mercury AMS used for proving that the mercury emissions from a source are compliant with emission limits below 0,5 mg/m3  ) (standard conditions) in ducted gaseous streams. This European Standard is applicable by direct correlation with the standard reference method (SRM) described in EN 13211.
This European Standard is primarily developed for emissions from waste incinerators. From a technical point of view, it may be applied to other processes, for which measurement at an emission limit is required with defined uncertainty.

Dieses Dokument legt spezielle Anforderungen an automatische Messeinrichtungen (AMS) zur Überwachung
von Gesamtquecksilber-Konzentrationen fest. Es leitet sich aus der EN 14181 her, dem allgemeinen Doku-ment
über Qualitätssicherung automatischer Messeinrichtungen. Es ist nur in Verbindung mit EN 14181 an-wendbar.
Dieses Dokument legt spezielle Anforderungen an automatische Quecksilbermesseinrichtungen für die Quali-tätssicherungsstufen
und die jährliche Funktionsprüfung nach EN 14181 fest. Damit kann nachgewiesen wer-den,
dass die Quecksilberemissionen aus einer Quelle die Emissionsgrenzwerte unter 0,5 mg/m³ 1) (Normbe-dingungen)
in geführten Gasströmen einhalten. Dieses Dokument ist in Verbindung mit dem in EN 13211 be-schriebenen
Standardreferenzverfahren (SRM) anwendbar.
Dieses Dokument ist in erster Linie für Emissionen aus Abfallverbrennungsanlagen erarbeitet worden. Aus
technischer Sicht darf sie auf andere Prozesse angewandt werden, für die eine Messung an einem Emis-
sionsgrenzwert mit gegebener Messunsicherheit erforderlich ist.

La présente Norme européenne fixe des exigences spécifiques pour les systèmes automatiques de mesure (AMS) utilisés pour le contrôle du mercure total. Elle est dérivée de l’EN 14181 qui est le document général relatif à l’assurance qualité des AMS. Elle n’est applicable qu’en association avec l’EN 14181.
La présente Norme européenne fixe des exigences spécifiques relatives aux niveaux d’assurance qualité et aux tests annuels de surveillance spécifiés dans l’EN 14181, pour les AMS du mercure utilisés pour démontrer que les émissions de mercure à partir d’une source sont conformes aux limites d’émission entre 0,03 mg/m3 et 0,5 mg/m3  ) (conditions normalisées) dans les courants gazeux à la sortie de conduits et cheminées. La présente Norme européenne est applicable par corrélation directe avec la méthode de référence normalisée (SRM) décrite dans l’EN 13211.
La présente Norme européenne est avant tout élaborée pour les émissions produites par les incinérateurs de déchets. D’un point de vue technique, elle peut être appliquée à d’autres processus pour lesquels il est requis d’effectuer un mesurage à une limite d’émission avec une incertitude définie.
