ISO 10656:2016 specifies additional requirements to those given in ISO 5826 for single-phase transformers used in AC welding. It is intended to be used in conjunction with ISO 5826, whose requirements it amends.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen an einphasige Transformatoren für das Schweißen mit Wechselstrom fest, die zusätzlich zu den in ISO 5826 angegebenen Anforderungen anzuwenden sind. Es ist vorgesehen, dass sie in Verbindung mit ISO 5826 genutzt wird, deren Anforderungen sie ergänzt.

The text of ISO 10656:2016 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied
processes” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
EN ISO 10656:2021 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied processes” the secretariat
of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by July 2021, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by July 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
