This European Standard specifies a method for the determination of the temperature at which the self-loaded deformation of a ceramic test piece commences and the extent of this deformation.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren zur chemischen Analyse von feuerfesten Erzeugnissen und Werkstoffen sowie oxidischer technischer Keramik fest und schließt die Bestimmung von Massenanteilen an Oxiden zwischen 0,01 % und 99 % durch die Röntgenfluoreszenzanalyse (RFA) an Schmelzaufschlüssen ein.
ANMERKUNG   Bestandteile mit Massenanteilen größer als 99 % (bezogen auf die getrocknete Substanz) sollten als Differenz angegeben werden, vorausgesetzt, alle wahrscheinlichen Nebenbestandteile und die Massenänderung durch Glühen wurden ermittelt. Auch diese Angaben sollten durch direkte Bestimmungen geprüft werden.
