Multifunctional controls for gas burning appliances

This European Standard specifies the safety, constructional and performance requirements for multifunctional controls for gas burners and gas appliances, hereafter referred to as multifunctional controls. It also gives the test procedures for evaluating these requirements and information necessary to the purchaser and the user.
It applies to multifunctional controls of nominal inlet connection size up to and including DN 150 with a declared maximum working pressure up to and including 500 mbar for use on burners or in appliances for use with one or more fuel gases of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd families.
This European Standard covers type testing only
It applies to multifunctional controls with two or more of the following functions, one of which is a shut-off function.
These additional functions may be:
3 manually operated tap
3 flame supervision device
3 governor
3 flow rate adjuster
3 water-operated gas valve
3 mechanical thermostat
3 gas pressure sensing device
3 gas/air ratio control
Multifunctional controls complying with this standard may also include additional features (e. g. igniters, timers).

Mehrfachstellgeräte für Gasgeräte

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Sicherheits-, Bau- und Funktionsanforderungen an Mehrfachstellgeräte für Gasbrenner und Gasgeräte, nachstehend Mehrfachstellgeräte genannt, fest. Sie beschreibt außerdem die Prüfverfahren, nach denen die Einhaltung dieser Anforderungen beurteilt wird und führt die für den Käufer und Anwender erforderlichen Angaben auf.
Diese Norm gilt für Mehrfachstellgeräte mit Anschlussnennweiten bis einschließlich DN 150 mit einem höchstzulässigen Betriebsdruck bis einschließlich 500 mbar zur Verwendung an Gasbrennern und Gasgeräten, die für ein oder mehrere Brenngase der ersten, zweiten oder dritten Gasfamilie ausgelegt sind.
Diese Europäische Norm behandelt ausschließlich die Baumusterprüfung.
Sie gilt für Mehrfachstellgeräte mit zwei oder mehr der folgenden Funktionen; eine von diesen ist eine Absperrfunktion.
Diese zusätzlichen Funktionen dürfen sein:
3 handbetätigte Einstellgeräte,
3 Flammenüberwachungseinrichtung,
3 Gasdruckregler,
3 Durchflussvoreinstellgerät,
3 wasserbetätigtes Gasventil,
3 mechanische Temperaturregler,
3 Gasdruckwächter,
3 Gas-Luft-Verbundregler.
Mehrfachstellgeräte, die mit dieser Norm übereinstimmen, dürfen ebenfalls zusätzliche Funktionen enthalten (z. B. Zündeinrichtungen, Timer).

This standard supplements or modifies the corresponding clauses ofEN 13611. GeneralAccording to EN 13611:2000, 5.4.5.4.2 Endurance testWhere possible combined endurance tests shall be performed. Each function shall be checked after itsspecified number of cycles. The remaining number of cycles for the other functions shall be performedseparately.5.4.3 Mounting positionThe tests shall be performed in the mounting position declared by the manufacturer.
