Tools for woodworking - Safety requirements - Part 1: Milling tools and circular saw blades

This standard is applicable to all hazards arising from the design and use of tools for woodworking machines, and describes the methods for the elimination or reduction of these hazards by tool design and by the provision of information. Part 1 of the standard deals with milling tools (bore mounted, shank mounted, integrated spindle) and circular saw blades, but does not cover any hazard related to the strength of shank of shankmounted milling tools. The hazards are listed in clause 5.

Diese Norm gilt für alle Gefährdungen, die von der Gestaltung und Anwendung von Werkzeugen für Holzbearbeitungsmaschinen herrühren und legt die Verfahren für die Beseitigung oder Verringerung dieser Gefährdungen durch Gestaltung des Werkzeugs und durch die Bereitstellung von Informationen fest. Teil 1 der Norm behandelt Fräswerkzeuge (mit Bohrung, mit Schaft, mit eingebauten Messerwellen) und Kreissägeblätter, jedoch sind Gefährdungen bezüglich der Schaftfestigkeit von Fräswerkzeugen mit Schaft nicht einbezogen.

La présente norme est applicable a tous les phénomenes dangereux provenant de la conception et de l'utilisation des outils pour machines a bois et décrit des méthodes d'élimination ou de réduction de ces phénomenes dangereux lors de la conception des outils et par la fourniture d'informations. La partie 1 de la présente norme traite des outils de fraisage (a trou, a queue et a broche intégrée) et des lames de scies circulaires, mais ne couvre pas les phénomenes dangereux relatifs a la résistance de la queue des outils de fraisage a queue.
