This International Standard specifies two methods for determining, by measurement of the transmission rate, the permeability of rubber to volatile liquids diffusing into open air. It is applicable only to materials in sheet form and to coated fabrics having thicknesses between 0,2 mm and 3,0 mm. It is restricted to transmission rates of more than 0,1 g/m2•h. The methods are particularly useful for comparing the relative transmission rates of one liquid through different materials, or of several liquids through one material. Method A, with refilling, is used when testing mixtures of liquids which give different transmission rates. Method B, with no refilling, is used for a single-component liquid.

Diese Internationale Norm legt zwei Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Permeabilität von Elastomeren für
flüchtige Flüssigkeiten durch Diffusion an die freie Atmosphäre fest, wobei die Durchlässigkeitsrate gemessen
wird.
Die Verfahren sind nur bei Elastomerfolien/-platten und beschichteten Geweben mit einer Dicke zwischen
0,2 mm und 3,0 mm anwendbar.
Sie sind auf Durchlässigkeitsraten von mehr als 0,1 g/m2 h beschränkt.
Die Verfahren sind besonders nützlich für den Vergleich der relativen Durchlässigkeitsraten einer Flüssigkeit
durch verschiedene Materialien oder verschiedener Flüssigkeiten durch ein Material.
Verfahren A, mit Erneuerung der Prüfflüssigkeit, wird angewendet bei Gemischen von Flüssigkeiten mit unterschiedlichen
Durchlässigkeitsraten.
Verfahren B, ohne Erneuerung der Prüfflüssigkeit, wird angewendet bei Flüssigkeiten mit einer einzigen
Komponente.

L'ISO 6179:2010 spécifie deux méthodes pour la détermination de la perméabilité du caoutchouc aux liquides volatils, à l'air libre, par mesurage du taux de transmission.
Elle n'est applicable qu'aux matériaux en feuille et aux supports textiles revêtus ayant une épaisseur comprise entre 0,2 mm et 3,0 mm.
Elle est limitée aux taux de transmission supérieurs à 0,1 g/m2/h.
Les méthodes décrites sont particulièrement utiles pour comparer le taux relatif de transmission d'un liquide à travers différents matériaux ou de plusieurs liquides à travers un seul matériau.
La méthode A, avec remplissages répétés, est utilisée pour des essais sur des mélanges de liquides ayant des taux de transmission différents.
La méthode B, sans remplissages répétés, est utilisée pour un seul composant liquide.

Ta mednarodni standard določa dve metodi za določevanje (z merjenjem hitrosti prehoda) prepuščanja gumiranih površin za hitro hlapljive tekočine, ki se razpršijo v zrak. Uporablja se samo za materiale v obliki plošč in prevlečene tkanine z debelino med 0,2 mm in 3,0 mm. Standard je omejen na hitrosti prehoda, ki so večje od 0,1 g/m2•h. Metodi sta še posebej uporabni za primerjavo relativnih hitrosti prehoda ene tekočine skozi različne materiale ali več tekočin skozi en material. Metoda A (s ponovnim polnjenjem) se uporablja pri preskušanju mešanic tekočin, ki imajo različne hitrosti prehoda. Metoda B (brez ponovnega polnjenja) se uporablja za enokomponentne tekočine.

rubber products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 248 “Textiles and textile products” the

text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2010, and conflicting national standards shall be

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
