This European Standard covers externally actuated and self actuated adaptors for bottom loading and unloading. This European Standard specifies the performance requirements and the critical dimensions of the adaptor for bottom loading and unloading. It also specifies the tests necessary to verify the compliance of the equipment with this European Standard. The equipment specified by this standard is suitable for use with liquid petroleum products and other dangerous substances of Class 3 of ADR [2] which have a vapour pressure not exceeding 110 kPa at 50 °C and petrol, and which have no subclassification as toxic or corrosive.

Diese Europäische Norm behandelt von außen zu betätigende und selbsttätige VK-Kupplungen für Untenbefüllung und -entladung.
In dieser Europäischen Norm sind die Leistungsanforderungen und die wesentlichen Maße der VK-Kupplung für Untenbefüllung und -entladung festgelegt. Weiterhin sind die Prüfungen festgelegt, mit denen nachgewiesen werden kann, ob die Ausrüstung den Anforderungen dieser Europäischen Norm entspricht. Die in dieser Norm beschriebene Ausrüstung ist zum Umfüllen flüssiger Erdölerzeugnisse und anderer gefährlicher Güter der Klasse 3 des ADR [2] geeignet, deren Dampfdruck bei 50 °C max. 110 kPa beträgt (einschließlich Ottokraftstoff) und die nicht als giftig oder ätzend eingestuft sind.

La présente Norme européenne traite des adaptateurs actionnés de l’extérieur et automatiques destinés aux opérations de chargement et de déchargement par le bas.
Elle spécifie les performances requises et les dimensions essentielles des adaptateurs pour le chargement et le déchargement par le bas. Elle spécifie également les essais à réaliser pour vérifier la conformité des équipements à la présente Norme européenne. Les équipements spécifiés par la présente norme conviennent à une utilisation avec des produits pétroliers liquides et autres matières dangereuses de la classe 3 de l’ADR [2] dont la tension de vapeur ne dépasse pas 110 kPa à 50 °C (y compris l’essence), et qui n’appartiennent à aucune sous-classification des produits toxiques ou corrosifs.

EN 13083:2008+A1:2013 (E) 3 Foreword This document (EN 13083:2008+A1:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 296 “Tanks for transport of dangerous goods”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2013 and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2013. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights.
