This European standard specifies the characteristics of adjustable rod-ends consisting of:
- a spherical plain bearing, metal to metal, in corrosion resisting steel, wide series (EN 4265)
- a rod end with internal threaded shank
They are intended for use in fixed or moving parts of the aircraft structure and their control mechanisms.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Eigenschaften verstellbarer Ösenköpfe fest. Diese bestehen aus
- einem Gelenklager, Metall auf Metall, korrosionsbeständigem Stahl, breite Reihe (EN 4265) und
- einem Gelenkstangenende  mit Innengewindeschaft.
Diese sind für den Einsatz in starren oder beweglichen Teilen des Flugzeugs sowie dessen Kontroll-mechanismen bestimmt.

Elles sont destinées à être utilisées pour les parties fixes ou mobiles de la structure des aéronefs et leurs mécanismes de contrôle.
