Welding and allied processes - Classification of geometric imperfections in metallic materials - Part 1: Fusion welding (ISO 6520-1:2007)

ISO 6520-1:2007 serves as the basis for a precise classification and description of weld imperfections.
In order to avoid any confusion, the types of imperfection are defined with explanations and illustrations where necessary.
Metallurgical imperfections are not included.
Another system for the designation of imperfections is possible according to ISO/TS 17845. A correspondence is given between the existing classification of imperfections according to ISO 6520-1:2007 and the designation system according to ISO/TS 17845:2004.

Dieser Teil der ISO 6520 soll als Basis für eine genaue Einordnung und Beschreibung von Schweißunregelmäßigkeiten dienen.
Um Unklarheiten zu vermeiden, sind die Unregelmäßigkeitsarten zusammen mit Erklärungen und, wenn notwendig, mit hinzugefügten Skizzen definiert.
Metallurgische Unregelmäßigkeiten sind nicht enthalten.
Ein weiteres System gemäß ISO/TS 17845 zur Benennung von Unregelmäßigkeiten ist möglich. Anhang B stellt den Zusammenhang zwischen der vorhandenen Einteilung von Unregelmäßigkeiten nach ISO 6520-1 und dem Benennungssystem nach ISO/TS 17845 dar.
ANMERKUNG - Zusätzlich zu den Begriffen in zwei der drei offiziellen Sprachen der ISO (Englisch und Französisch) gibt dieser Teil der ISO 6520 die entsprechenden Begriffe in deutscher Sprache an; diese Begriffe werden unter der Verantwortung der deutschen Mitgliedsorgansation (DIN) veröffentlicht. Dennoch können nur die in den offiziellen Sprachen angegebenen Begriffe als ISO-Begriffe erachtet werden.

L'ISO 6520-1:2007 sert de base à une classification et à une description précises des défauts de soudure.
De manière à éviter des confusions, les types de défauts sont définis avec des commentaires et des illustrations au besoin.
Les défauts métallurgiques ne sont pas pris en considération.
Un autre système pour la désignation des défauts est possible selon l'ISO/TS 17845. La correspondance est donnée entre la classification existante des défauts selon l'ISO 6520-1:2006 et le système de désignation selon l'ISO/TS 17845:2004.

This document (EN ISO 6520-1:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44
"Welding and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121
"Welding", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2008, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2008.

This document supersedes EN ISO 6520-1:1998.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
