Non-destructive examination of welds - Eddy current examination of welds by complex plane analysis

This standard defines eddy current examination techniques for detection of surface breaking and near surface planar imperfections, mainly in ferritic materials(weld material, heat affected zones, parent materials). The eddy current technique can also be applied to other metallic construction materials (e.g.stainless steels). The techniques can be applied to coated and uncoated objects during fabrication and in service, onshore and offshore. The examination can be carried out on all accessible surfaces and on welds of almost any configuration.

Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung von Schweißverbindungen - Wirbelstromprüfung von Schweißverbindungen durch Vektorauswertung

Diese Norm legt Techniken der Wirbelstromprüfung für den Nachweis von Oberflächenfehlern und oberflächennahen planaren Unregelmäßigkeiten hauptsächlich in ferritischen Werkstoffen (Schweißnähten, Wärmeeinfluß- zonen, Grundwerkstoffen) fest. Das Wirbelstromverfahren kann auch für andere metallische Bauwerkstoffe (z.B. Edelstählen), wenn es von der Bauwerk- beschreibung gefordert wird, andewendet werden. Die Techniken können bei beschichteten oder unbeschichteten Prüfgegenständen in der Herstellung und im Betrieb, Onshore und Offshore, verwendet werden.

La présente norme définit des techniques de contrôle par courants de Foucault utilisées pour la détection de défauts débouchants et de défauts plans sous-jacents principalement pour les matériaux ferritiques (assemblages soudés, zones affectées thermiquement, métal de base). Les techniques de contrôle par courant de Foucault peuvent aussi être appliquées à d'autres matériaux métalliques de construction (par exemple aux aciers inoxydables). Les techniques peuvent être mises en oeuvre sur des objets revêtus ou non-revêtus, aussi bien en fabrication qu'en service, à terre ou en mer.
