This Technical Specification gives guidance for the assessment of conformity of materials, products, joints and assemblies in accordance with the applicable part(s) of EN 12666 intended to be included in the manufacturer’s quality plan as part of the quality management system and for the establishment of third-party certification procedures.
NOTE 1   It is recommended that the quality management system conforms to or is no less stringent than the relevant requirements to EN ISO 9001:2008 [1].
NOTE 2   If third-party certification is involved, it is recommended that the certification body is accredited to EN 45011 [2], EN 45012 [3] or EN ISO/IEC 17021 [4], as applicable.
NOTE 3    In order to help the readers, a summary of the test regime is given in Annex A.
In conjunction with EN 12666-1 (see Foreword) this document is applicable to piping systems made of polyethylene (PE):
-   non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage outside the building structure (application area code "U"), reflected in the marking of products by "U", and
-   for non-pressure underground drainage and sewerage for both buried in the ground within the building structure (application area code "D") and outside the building structure (application area code "U"), reflected in the marking of products by "UD".

Diese Technische Spezifikation enthält Empfehlungen für die Beurteilung der Konformität von Werkstoffen, Erzeug¬nissen, Verbindungen und Bauteilkombinationen entsprechend des/der zutreffenden Teile(s) von EN 12666, die als Teil des Qualitätsmanagementsystems im Qualitätssicherungsplan des Herstellers und für die Ein¬führung von Verfahren der Drittstellenzertifizierung vorgesehen sind.
ANMERKUNG 1   Es wird empfohlen, dass das Qualitätsmanagementsystem EN ISO 9001:2008 [1] oder mindestens ebenso strengen Anforderungen entspricht.
ANMERKUNG 2   Bei Drittstellenzertifizierung wird empfohlen, dass die Zertifizierungsstelle in Abhängigkeit von der Anwendung entsprechend EN 45011 [2], EN 45012 [3] oder EN ISO/IEC 17021 [4] zugelassen ist.
ANMERKUNG 3   Zur Unterstützung der Leser enthält Anhang A eine Zusammenfassung des Prüfsystems.
Dieses Dokument gilt in Zusammenhang mit EN 12666-1 (siehe Vorwort) für Rohrleitungssysteme aus Polyethylen (PE) für folgende vorgesehene Verwendungszwecke:
-   drucklose erdverlegte Abwasserkanäle und  leitungen außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwen¬dungs-kennzeichen „U“), dies spiegelt sich in den Kennzeichnungen „U“ wider; und
-   drucklose erdverlegte Abwasserkanäle und  leitungen sowohl innerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen „D“) als auch außerhalb der Gebäudestruktur (Anwendungskennzeichen „U“), dies spiegelt sich in den Kennzeichnungen „UD“ wider.

La présente Spécification technique fournit un guide pour l’évaluation de la conformité des matières, produits et montages en conformité avec la (les) partie(s) applicable(s) de l’EN 12666, destiné à être inclus dans le plan qualité du fabricant dans le cadre du système de management de la qualité et pour l’établissement de procédures de certification par tierce partie.
NOTE 1   Il est recommandé que le système de management de la qualité soit conforme aux exigences pertinentes de l'EN ISO 9001:2008 [1] ou au moins aussi strict que ces exigences.
NOTE 2   En cas de certification par tierce partie, il est recommandé que l'organisme de certification soit accrédité selon l'EN 45011 [2], l'EN 45012 [3] ou l'EN ISO/CEI 17021 [4], suivant le cas.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 23 July 2012 for provisional application.

This document (CEN/TS 12666-2:2012) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 155 “Plastics

piping systems and ducting systems”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent

This document supersedes CEN/TS 12666-2:2005.

Introduction

Figures 1 and 2 are intended to provide general information on the concept of testing and organisation of

those tests used for the purpose of the assessment of conformity. For each type of test, i.e. type testing (TT),

batch release test (BRT), process verification test (PVT), and audit test (AT), this document details the

applicable characteristics to be assessed as well as the frequency and sampling of testing.

A typical scheme for the assessment of conformity of materials, pipes, fittings, joints or assemblies by

manufacturers is given in Figure 1.

1 Scope

This Technical Specification gives guidance for the assessment of conformity of materials, products, joints and

assemblies in accordance with the applicable part(s) of EN 12666 intended to be included in the

manufacturer’s quality plan as part of the quality management system and for the establishment of third-party

impartial body, governmental or non-governmental, possessing the necessary competence and responsibility

to carry out certification of conformity according to given rules of procedure and management

inspection body

impartial organisation or company, approved by the certification body as possessing the necessary

competence to verify and/or to carry out initial type testing, audit testing and inspection of the manufacturer's

factory production control in accordance with the relevant standard
