ISO 23667:2006 specifies the requirements and test methods for compatibility testing of polyethylene-based plastics Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBCs) and composite IBCs with plastics inners containing liquids. The testing involves storage with the packaged substance, or with a standard liquid as defined in Annex A. Annex B describes small scale laboratory tests, which may be used to determine the assimilation of those products to be carried with the standard liquids.

Diese Internationale Norm legt die Anforderungen an und die Verfahren für die Verträglichkeitsprüfung von auf Polyethylenbasis hergestellten Kunststoff IBC und Kombinations IBC mit Kunststoffinnenbehältern fest, die für Flüssigkeiten vorgesehen sind. Die Prüfung schließt die Lagerung mit dem Füllgut oder mit einer Standardflüssigkeit, wie sie in Anhang A definiert wird, ein. Anhang B beschreibt Prüfungen im Labormaßstab, die für die Bestimmung der Assimilierung der zu befördernden Produkte mit den Stan¬dardflüssigkeiten verwendet werden können.
Diese Internationale Norm sollte in Verbindung mit einer oder mehreren der internationalen Vorschriften, die in den Literaturhinweisen genannt sind, angewendet werden.

L'ISO 23667:2006 spécifie les exigences et les méthodes d'essai pour vérifier la compatibilité des GRV en plastique à base de polyéthylène et des GRV composites dont les récipients intérieurs en plastique contiennent des liquides. L'essai implique le stockage avec la substance emballée ou avec un liquide de référence tel que défini dans l'Annexe A. L'Annexe B décrit des essais en laboratoire sur éprouvettes qui peuvent être utilisés pour déterminer l'assimilation de ces produits aux liquides de référence.

This document (EN ISO 23667:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 261
"Packaging", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR, in collaboration with Technical
Committee ISO/TC 122 "Packaging".

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2008, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by January 2008.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
