Evropski standard EN 50110 je sestavljen iz dveh delov:
- prvi del, EN 50110-1, vsebuje minimalne zahteve, ki veljajo za vse države CENELEC, in nekatere dodatne informativne dodatke, ki obravnavajo varno  delo;
- drugi del, EN 50110-2, je nabor normativnih dodatkov (po en na državo), ki bodisi določajo trenutne varnostne zahteve bodisi podajajo nacionalne dodatke k tem minimalnim zahtevam, ki so veljali v času priprave tega evropskega standarda.

EN 50110-2:2010 - 2 - Foreword This European Standard was prepared by the CENELEC BTTF 62-3, Operation of electrical installations. The text of the draft was submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as EN 50110-2 on 2010-03-01. This European Standard supersedes EN 50110-2:1996. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN and CENELEC shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. The following dates were fixed: – latest date by which the EN has to be implemented at national level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
