La présente Norme européenne décrit une méthode de détermination de la force requise pour déboucler les boucles du tissu de fond du tissu éponge.
Une force est exercée sur la boucle jusqu’à ce qu’elle se relâche, et continue d’être appliquée sur d’un certain nombre de boucles consécutives. La force requise pour y parvenir correspond à la force de débouclage.
