Railway applications - Air conditioning for main line rolling stock - Comfort parameters and type tests
This European Standard applies to main line rail vehicles carrying passengers. It does not apply to suburban vehicles, metros, tramways and driver`s cabs.
This European Standard establishes comfort parameters for compartments or saloons (single level or double-decker).
These comfort parameters apply in a similar way to the areas reserved for train staff.
The standard also specifies the conditions and the comfort parameter measurement methods for compartments or saloons.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Schienenfahrzeuge des Fernverkehrs zur Beförderung von Personen; davon ausgenommen sind Vorortbahnen, U-Bahnen, Straßenbahnen und Führerräume.
Diese Europäische Norm legt Behaglichkeitsparameter für Abteile und Großräume (ein- oder doppelstöckig) fest.
Diese Behaglichkeitsparameter gelten sinngemäß für Räume, die für das Zugbegleitpersonal bestimmt sind.
Die Norm legt ebenfalls Bedingungen und Messverfahren zum Nachweis der Behaglichkeitsparameter für Abteile und Großräume fest.

La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux véhicules ferroviaires de grandes lignes transportant des voyageurs. Elle ne s'applique pas aux véhicules de banlieue, métros, tramways et cabines de conduite.
La présente Norme européenne précise les paramètres de bien-être des compartiments ou salles (à un seul ou deux niveaux).
Les paramètres de bien-être s’appliquent d’une façon analogue aux locaux réservés au personnel d’accompagnement du train.
La norme précise également les conditions et les méthodes de mesure des paramètres de bien-être des compartiments ou salles.
Železniške naprave - Klimatske naprave za železniška vozila za dolge proge - Parametri za določevanje udobja in tipski preskus
Ta evropski standard se uporablja za železniška vozila glavnih železniških prog, ki prevažajo potnike. Ne uporablja se za vozila za primestni železniški promet, metroje, tramvaje in voznikove kabine.
Ta evropski standard vzpostavlja parametre za določevanje udobja za kupeje ali salonske vagone (eno- ali dvonadstropne).
Ti parametri za določevanje udobja se podobno uporabljajo za prostore, namenjene izključno vlakovnemu osebju.

This document (EN 13129:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 256 “Railway
applications”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2017, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2017.

1 Scope
This European Standard establishes comfort parameters of air conditioning for passenger
compartments or saloons of railway vehicles (single level or double-decker). These comfort parameters
apply in a similar way to the areas reserved for train staff.
The European Standard also specifies conditions, performance values and the comfort parameter
measurement methods for compartments or saloons.
This European Standard is applicable to main line rail vehicles. It does not apply to suburban vehicles,
metros, tramways and driver's cabs.
