Animal and vegetable fats and oils - Determination of conventional mass per volume (litre weight in air) (ISO 6883:2007)

ISO 6883:2007 specifies a method for the determination of the conventional mass per volume ("litre weight in air") of animal and vegetable fats and oils (hereinafter referred to as fats) in order to convert volume to mass or mass to volume.

Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der konventionellen volumenbezogenen Masse („Litergewicht in Luft“) von tierischen und pflanzlichen Fetten und Ölen (im Folgenden Fette genannt), mit dem Ziel, Volumen in Masse bzw. Masse in Volumen umzurechnen.
Das Verfahren gilt nur für Fette im flüssigen Zustand.
Die Temperatur bei der Bestimmung des Fettes sollte so gewählt werden, dass sich bei dieser Temperatur keine Kristalle im Fett absetzen.

L'ISO 6883:2007 spécifie une méthode de détermination de la masse volumique conventionnelle (poids du litre dans l'air) des corps gras d'origines animale et végétale afin de convertir le volume en masse et inversement.

Standard EN ISO 6883 določa metodo za ugotavljanje dogovorjene mase na enoto prostornine („masa litra v zraku“) v živalskih in rastlinskih maščobah in oljih (v nadaljnjem besedilu: maščobe), da se omogoči pretvorbo prostornine v maso ali mase v prostornino. Postopek je primeren samo za maščobe v tekočem stanju.

The text of ISO 6883:2007 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 34 “Food products” of the
International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 6883:2014 by
Technical Committee CEN/TC 307 “Oilseeds, vegetable and animal fats and oils and their by-products -
Methods of sampling and analysis” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by October 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
