Piston-operated volumetric apparatus - Part 1: Terminology, general requirements and user recommendations (ISO 8655-1:2002)

ISO 8655-1:2002 specifies the general requirements for piston-operated volumetric apparatus. It is applicable to piston pipettes, piston burettes, dilutors and dispensers. It furthermore defines terms for the use of piston-operated volumetric apparatus and gives a list of equivalent terms. It also gives user recommendations.
ISO 8655-1:2002 is not applicable to medical products intended for use on human beings, e.g. for medical syringes.

Volumenmessgeräte mit Hubkolben - Teil 1: Begriffe, allgemeine Anforderungen und Gebrauchsempfehlungen (ISO 8655-1:2002)

Dieser Teil von ISO 8655 legt die allgemeinen Anforderungen an Volumenmessgeräte mit Hubkolben1) fest. Er gilt für Kolbenhubpipetten, Kolbenbüretten, Dilutoren und Dispenser. Er definiert des Weiteren Begriffe für den Gebrauch  von Kolbenhubgeräten und gibt Gebrauchsempfehlungen.
ISO 8655 gilt nicht für Medizinprodukte zur Anwendung am Menschen, z.B. für medizinische Spritzen.
ANMERKUNG   Hinsichtlich der messtechnischen Anforderungen, der Fehlergrenzen sowie der Anforderungen an Kennzeichnung und Nutzerinformation siehe ISO 8655-2 für Kolbenhubpipetten, ISO 8655-3 für Kolbenbüretten, ISO 8655-4 für Dilutoren und ISO 8655-5 für Dispenser. Die Konformitätsprüfung (Baumusterbewertung) von Kolbenhubgeräten ist in ISO 8655-6 festgelegt. Alternative Prüfverfahren, wie die photometrische und titrimetrische Prüfung werden Gegenstand des zukünftigen Teils 7 von ISO 8655 sein. Hinsichtlich aller anderen Prüfungen (z.B. Qualitätssicherung des Anbieters, analytische Qualitätssicherung und Prüfmittelüberwachung des Anwenders) siehe ISO 8655-6 oder alternative Prüfverfahren.

L'ISO 8655-1:2002 spécifie les exigences générales relatives aux appareils volumétriques à piston. Elle est applicable aux pipettes à piston, aux burettes à piston, aux diluteurs et aux distributeurs. En outre, elle définit les termes pour l'utilisation des appareils volumétriques à piston et donne une liste de termes équivalents. Elle donne également des recommandations pour l'utilisateur.
L'ISO 8655-1:2002 n'est pas applicable aux produits médicaux destinés à être utilisés sur les êtres humains, par exemple les seringues médicales.

This document (ISO 8655-1:2002) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 48
"Laboratory glassware and related apparatus" in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 332 "Laboratory equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication
of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2003, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2003.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
