EN 441-2:1994

Refrigerated display cabinets - Part 2: General mechanical and physical requirements

This standard specifies marking and performance requirements, methods of classification, methods of determining dimensions and methods of test for commercial refrigerated cabinets for the sale and display of food products. This standard does not cover refrigerated vending machines. This part of EN 441 gives requirements for construction, selection and use of materials and specifies the marking and performance requirements. It should be read in conjunction with EN 441-6 which covers in detail the requirements for cabinets of specific type or intended for particular applications.

Die vorliegende europäische Norm dient als Richtlinie bei der Wahl und Anwendung von Werkstoffen und spezifiziert die Kennzeichnungs- und Leistungsanforderungen für gewerbliche Kühlmöbel für den Verkauf und die Ausstellung von Lebensmitteln. Sie versteht sich in Verbindung mit EN 441-6, die die Anforderungen an Kühlmöbel besonderer Art oder für besondere Anwendungen im Detail abdeckt.

La présente norme européenne fournit des indications concernant le choix et l'utilisation des matériaux et fixe les exigences de marquage et de fonctionnement pour les meubles frigorifiques commerciaux destinés à la vente et/ou l'exposition de denrées alimentaires. Elle doit être prise en considération conjointement avec prEN 441-6 qui fixe en détail les exigences applicables à des meubles frigorifiques commerciaux de types donnés ou prévus pour un emploi particulier.
