Nanotechnologies - Vocabulary - Part 4: Nanostructured materials (ISO/TS 80004-4:2011)

ISO/TS 80004-4:2011 gives terms and definitions for materials in the field of nanotechnologies where one or more components are nanoscale regions and the materials exhibit properties attributable to the presence of those nanoscale regions. It is intended to facilitate communications between organizations and individuals in industry and those who interact with them.
Materials classified as nanostructured have an internal or surface structure with a significant fraction of features, grains, voids or precipitates in the nanoscale. Articles that contain nano-objects or nanostructured materials are not necessarily nanostructured materials themselves.
ISO/TS 80004-4:2011 includes nanodispersion.

In dieser Technischen Spezifikation sind Begriffe für Materialien auf dem Gebiet der Nanotechnologie angeführt, wobei einer Komponente oder mehreren Komponenten nanoskalige Bereiche zugeordnet sind; die Materialien zeigen Eigenschaften, die auf das Vorhandensein dieser Bereiche im Nanomaßstab zurückzuführen sind. Diese Spezifikation ist dafür vorgesehen, die Kommunikation zwischen Organisationen und Einzelpersonen in der Industrie und den Partnern, die mit ihnen zusammenarbeiten, zu vereinfachen.
Die Materialien haben topographische oder kompositorische Merkmale im Nanomaßstab, was jedoch nicht ausreicht, das Material als nanostrukturiert zu klassifizieren. Materialien, die als nanostrukturiert bezeichnet werden, haben in ihrer inneren Struktur oder in ihrer Oberflächenstruktur einen signifikanten Anteil an nanoskaligen Merkmalen, Körnern, Hohlräumen oder Ausscheidungen. Erzeugnisse, die herstellungsbedingt Nanoobjekte oder nanostrukturierte Materialien enthalten, müssen nicht selber nanostrukturierte Materialien sein.
Diese Technische Spezifikation schließt Nanodispersion ein.

Nanotechnologies - Vocabulaire - Partie 4: Matériaux nanostructurés (ISO/TS 80004-4:2011)

L'ISO/TS 80004-4:2011 établit les termes et définitions relatifs aux matériaux du domaine des nanotechnologies, c'est-à-dire les matériaux qui comprennent une ou plusieurs régions à l'échelle nanométrique et qui présentent des propriétés imputables à la présence de ces régions à l'échelle nanométrique. Elle est destinée à faciliter la communication entre les organismes et les individus du secteur industriel et leurs interlocuteurs.
Les matériaux possèdent des caractéristiques topographiques et de composition à l'échelle nanométrique, mais ce critère n'est pas suffisant pour qu'ils soient classés parmi les matériaux nanostructurés. Les articles qui contiennent des nano-objets ou des matériaux nanostructurés ne sont pas nécessairement eux-mêmes des matériaux nanostructurés.
L'ISO/TS 80004-4:2011 inclut la nanodispersion.

Ta tehnična specifikacija podaja izraze in definicije za materiale na področju nanotehnologij, pri čemer je ena ali več komponent nanovelikosti, materiali pa kažejo lastnosti, ki jih je mogoče pripisati prisotnosti teh predelov v nanovelikosti. Namenjena je lajšanju komuniciranja med organizacijami in posamezniki v industriji ter osebami, ki stopajo v stike z njimi.
Materiali imajo topografske ali kompozicijske lastnosti v nanomerilu, a to ni dovolj, da se material razvrsti kot nanostrukturiran. Materiali, ki so razvrščeni kot nanostrukturirani, imajo notranjo ali površinsko strukturo z velikim deležem lastnosti, zrn, praznin ali izločkov v nanomerilu. Izdelki, ki vsebujejo nanogradnike ali nanostrukturirane materiale, niso nujno tudi sami nanostrukturirani materiali.
Ta tehnična specifikacija zajema nanorazpršenost.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 8 December 2014 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to submit their
comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS available
promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in parallel to the CEN/TS)
until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.

The text of ISO/TS 80004-4:2011 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 229
“Nanotechnologies” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
CEN ISO/TS 80004-4:2014 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 352 “Nanotechnologies” the secretariat of which
is held by AFNOR.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
