Postal services - Trays for international letter mail - Test methods and performance requirements

This European Standard specifies the performance requirements and testing methods for standard letter mail trays, as specified in the classification below. The trays should be used to facilitate the exchange of international mail. The technical specification of the trays should be such that the performance requirements specified herein are met and tests specified herein successfully completed. The technical specifications of trays as such however, are beyond the scope of this standard.
This standard covers a one-size universal letter mail tray suitable for carrying C4, C5 and C6 mail:

The trays are suitable for containing C4 mail stacked in a horizontal plane and for stacking C5 and C6 mail vertically.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für normgerechte Brief-sendungsbehälter fest, wie in der Klassifizierung unten beschrieben. Die Behälter sollten zur Erleichterung des Austauschs grenzüber¬schreitender Sendungen verwendet werden. Die technische Beschreibung der Behälter sollte so gehalten sein, dass die darin beschriebenen Leistungsanforderungen eingehalten und Prüfungen erfolgreich durch¬geführt werden können. Die technische Beschreibung der Behälter selbst geht jedoch über den Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm hinaus.
Diese Europäische Norm umfasst einen universellen Briefsendungsbehälter einer Größe zur Aufnahme von Sendungen der Größe C4, C5 und C6:

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences de performances et les méthodes d'essais relatives aux caissettes pour lettres postales normalisées, telles que spécifiées dans la classification ci-dessous. Il convient d'utiliser les caissettes pour faciliter l'échange du courrier international. Il convient que les spécifications techniques des caissettes soient telles que les exigences de performances spécifiées dans la présente norme soient satisfaites et que les essais spécifiés dans la présente norme soient réalisés avec succès. Toutefois, les spécifications techniques des caissettes, en elles-mêmes, ne relèvent pas du domaine d'application de la présente norme.
La présente norme couvre une caissette universelle de taille unique pour lettres postales adaptée au transport du courrier C4, C5 et C6 :

Les caissettes sont adéquates pour contenir le courrier C4 empilé dans un plan horizontal et pour empiler verticalement le courrier C5 et C6.

Poštne storitve - Pismarnice za mednarodne pisemske pošiljke - Preskusne metode in zahtevane lastnosti

Ta evropski standard določa zahtevane lastnosti in preskusne metode za standardne pismarnice za pisemske pošiljke, kot je določeno v spodnji klasifikaciji. Pismarnice naj bi se uporabljale za lažjo izmenjavo mednarodne pošte. Tehnične specifikacije pismarnic naj bi izpolnjevale zahtevane lastnosti ter omogočale uspešno izvedbo preskusov iz tega standarda. Same tehnične specifikacije pismarnic niso vključene v področje uporabe tega standarda.

4.3 Tray performance requirement 4.3.1 Compatibility Trays and closures shall fit well onto each other, nest easily into each other and separate well from each other without the use of undue force. 4.3.2 Compression The trays shall meet a minimum compression strength requirement of 180 kg at a deflection of less than
10 mm before failure.
