Inland navigation vessels - Stanchions and holders for tiltable and detachable railings

This document is applicable to stanchions and holders of tiltable and detachable railings (railing type CT and CD according to EN 711 in work areas) for inland navigation vessels. These railings are situated in the side deck areas, where a permanently fitted railing can be an obstacle for loading/discharging operations.
The stanchions are designed for use with handrails and intermediate guardrails made of wire ropes.

Dieses Dokument gilt für die Stützen und Halter der umlegbaren und losnehmbaren Geländer (Geländerbauart CT und CD nach EN 711 im Arbeitsbereich) für Fahrzeuge der Binnenschifffahrt. Diese Geländer werden in Bereiche der Gangborde eingesetzt, in denen ein festes Geländer beim Güterumschlag hinderlich sein kann.
Die Geländerstützen sind für die Verwendung mit Handläufen und Zwischenzügen aus Drahtseilen bestimmt.

Le présent document est applicable aux chandeliers et supports pour garde-corps rabattables et démontables (garde-corps de types CT et CD conformément à l’EN 711 dans les zones de travail) pour les bateaux de navigation intérieure. Ces garde-corps sont situés dans les zones des plats bords, où un gardecorps fixé à demeure peut être un obstacle pour les opérations de chargement/déchargement.
Les chandeliers sont conçus pour être utilisés avec des mains courantes et des filières intermédiaires en câbles métalliques.
