This European Standard specifies a test method to assess the ignitability of mattresses, upholstered bed bases, when subjected to a gas flame as an ignition source.
Air mattresses and water beds are excluded from this standard.
The standard contains one annex:
Annex A (informative) Model test report form.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bewertung der Entzündbarkeit von Matratzen und gepolsterten Bettböden fest, wenn diese einer Gasflamme als Zündquelle ausgesetzt sind.
Luftmatratzen und Wasserbetten werden in dieser Norm nicht behandelt.

Overview - EN 597-2:2015 (Furniture - Mattress ignitability, match-flame equivalent)

EN 597-2:2015 is a CEN European standard that specifies a laboratory test method to assess the ignitability of mattresses, mattress pads and upholstered bed bases when exposed to a small gas flame designed to be equivalent to a burning match. The standard excludes air mattresses and water beds and includes an informative Annex A with a model test report form. This standard is part of the EN 597 series covering furniture ignitability and has been aligned with EN 597-1.
