Safety of machinery - Guidance for the drafting of the noise clauses of safety standards
This European Standard gives guidance on how to deal with noise in type C-Standards where noise is identified as a significant hazard (see 4.5 of EN 292-1:1991). As such, this European Standard supplements the rules given in EN 414:1992. The exact way that noise is dealt with for a particular type of machinery will depend on the structure of the type C-Standards and is the responsibility of the type C-Standard Technical Committees.
Sicherheit von Maschinen - Anleitung für die Abfassung der Abschnitte über Geräusche in Sicherheitsnormen
Diese Europäische Norm gibt eine Anleitung für, wie Lärm in Typ-C-Normen, in denen er als eine bedeutende Gefährdung bezeichnet wird (siehe 4.5 von EN 292-1:1991), behandelt wird. Als solche ergänzt diese Europäische Norm die in EN 414:1992 aufgestellten Regeln. Die genaue Art und Weise, in der Lärm bei einer bestimmten Maschine behandelt wird, ist abhängig vom Aufbau der betreffenden Typ-C-Norm und liegt in der Verantwortung des für die Typ-C-Norm zuständigen Technischen Komitees.

La présente norme européenne spécifie la maniere de traiter le bruit dans les normes de type C, lorsque celui-ci est identifié comme risque significatif (voir 4.5 de l'EN 292-1:1991). La présente norme européenne complete ainsi les regles fournies par l'EN 414:1992. La maniere précise de traiter la question du bruit pour un type particulier de machines dépend de la structure des normes C et releve de la responsabilité des Comités Techniques chargés d'élaborer ces normes.
