Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-60: Particular requirements for whirlpool baths and whirlpool spas (IEC 60335-2-60:2017)
This International Standard deals with the safety of electric whirlpool baths for indoor use
and whirlpool spas, for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more
than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances.
This standard also applies to appliances for circulating air or water in conventional baths.
Appliances not intended for normal household use but that nevertheless may be a source of
danger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in hotels, fitness
centres and similar places, are within the scope of this standard.
As far as is practicable, this standard deals with the common hazards presented by
appliances that are encountered by all persons in and around the home. However, in general,
it does not take into account
– persons (including children) whose
• physical, sensory or mental capabilities; or
• lack of experience and knowledge
prevents them from using the appliance safely without supervision or instruction;
– children playing with the appliance.
NOTE 101 Attention is drawn to the fact that
– for appliances intended to be used in vehicles or on board ships or aircraft, additional requirements may be
necessary;
– in many countries additional requirements are specified by the national health authorities, the national water
supply authorities, the national authorities responsible for the protection of labour and similar authorities.
NOTE 102 This standard does not apply to
– equipment for water circulation in swimming and motion exercise pools;
– cleaning appliances for swimming pools;
– appliances intended for medical purposes;
– appliances intended to be used in locations where special conditions prevail, such as the presence of a
corrosive or explosive atmosphere (dust, vapour or gas).

Gospodinjski in podobni električni aparati - Varnost - 2-60. del: Posebne zahteve za vrtinčne kopeli in bazene (IEC 60335-2-60:2017)
Ta mednarodni standard obravnava varnost električnih vrtinčnih kopeli za uporabo v notranjih prostorih in vrtinčnih bazenov za gospodinjsko in podobno uporabo, pri čemer nazivna napetost ne presega 250 V za enofazne aparate in 480 V za druge aparate.
Ta standard se uporablja tudi za aparate za kroženje zraka ali vode v konvencionalnih kopelih. Aparati, ki niso namenjeni običajni gospodinjski uporabi, a so vseeno lahko vir nevarnosti za javnost, npr. aparati za laično uporabo v hotelih, fitnes centrih in podobno, spadajo v področje uporabe tega standarda.
Ta standard v največji možni meri obravnava splošne nevarnosti, ki jih predstavljajo aparati ter s katerimi se srečujejo osebe doma in v okolici doma. Vendar na splošno ne vključuje primerov:
– oseb (vključno z otroki), ki zaradi
• fizičnih, senzoričnih ali umskih sposobnosti oziroma
• pomanjkanja izkušenj in znanja
ne morejo varno uporabljati aparata brez nadzora ali navodil;
– otrok, ki se igrajo z aparatom.
OPOMBA 101: Opozoriti je treba, da:
– so za aparate, ki so namenjeni za uporabo v vozilih ali na krovu ladij ali letal, morda potrebne dodatne zahteve;
– v številnih državah nacionalni zdravstveni organi, nacionalni organi za oskrbo z vodo, nacionalni organi, odgovorni za varstvo pri delu, ter drugi podobni organi določajo dodatne zahteve.
OPOMBA 102: Ta standard se ne uporablja za:
– opremo za kroženje vode v plavalnih bazenih in bazenih za gibalno vadbo;
– čistilni aparati za plavalne bazene;
– aparate za medicinske namene;
– aparate, ki so namenjeni za uporabo na lokacijah, kjer veljajo posebne razmere, kot je prisotnost korozivne ali eksplozivne atmosfere (prah, hlapi ali plin).
