ISO 9094-1:2003 defines procedures to achieve a practical degree of fire protection, specifies portable fire-fighting equipment and sets requirements for fixed fire-fighting systems.
It applies to small craft of all types with a hull length not exceeding 15 m. For small craft with a hull length greater than 15 m, ISO 9094-2 applies.
Personal watercraft are excluded from the scope of ISO 9094-1:2003.

Dieser Teil von ISO 9094 beschreibt Verfahren, durch die eine praxisgerechte Form  des Brandschutzes erreicht werden kann; er macht Angaben zu tragbaren Feuerlöschausrüstungen und legt Anforderungen an fest eingebaute Feuerlöschanlagen fest.
Diese Norm gilt für kleine Wasserfahrzeuge aller Bauarten mit einer Rumpflänge LH bis 15 m. Für kleine Wasserfahrzeuge über 15 m Rumpflänge gilt ISO 9094-2.
Diese Norm ist nicht auf Wasserskooter (PWC) anwendbar.

L'ISO 9094-1:2002 définit des procédures destinées à obtenir un niveau pratique de protection contre l'incendie, spécifie les équipements portatifs de lutte contre l'incendie et établit des exigences pour les systèmes d'extinction fixes.
L'ISO 9094-1 est applicable aux bateaux d'une longueur de coque n'excédant pas 15 m. Pour les bateaux d'une longueur de coque supérieure à 15 m, l'ISO 9094-2 s'applique.
Les véhicules nautiques à moteur, VNM (scooters des mers) ne sont pas compris dans le domaine d'application de la présente partie de l'ISO 9094-1:2002.
