ISO 19496-2:2017 establishes a system for the cataloguing of defects in sheet steel enamelling. It serves for a consistent language use concerning the designation and characterization of enamelling defects. This document is limited to detectable defects and does not purport to fully take into consideration all occurring types of defects. It does not evaluate enamelling defects; the classification carried out serves for the conveyance of practical knowledge.

ISO 19496-2:2017 établit un système de catalogage des défauts d'émaillage sur tôles d'acier. Il vise à maintenir la cohérence de la terminologie utilisée pour la désignation et la caractérisation des défauts d'émaillage. Le présent document se limite aux défauts détectables et n'a pas pour but de prendre en considération tous les types de défauts pouvant survenir. Il n'évalue pas les défauts d'émaillage; la classification réalisée est un moyen de communication des connaissances pratiques.

Ta standard je omejen na napake, ki jih je mogoče zaznati, in ne obravnava vseh vrst napak, ki se pojavljajo. Ne ocenjuje napak v emajlih; izvedena razvrstitev služi za prenos ali praktično znanje.

This document (EN ISO 19496-2:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee
ISO/TC 107 “Metallic and other inorganic coatings” in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 262 “Metallic and other inorganic coatings, including for corrosion protection and corrosion
testing of metals and alloys” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2017, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
