This document defines the general terms to be used in the standards of metallic materials for aerospace applications. It is intended only to give terms which are truly general and where definition, in this context, is required. The definitions of more specific terms are to be found in the technical specifications, test methods, etc. which are referenced in the material standard concerned.

Dieses Dokument definiert die grundlegenden Begriffe, die in den Normen für metallische Werkstoffen für Anwendungen in der Luft- und Raumfahrt verwendet werden sollen. Dabei sollen nur solche Begriffe angegeben werden, die wirklich allgemein sind und bei denen in diesem Zusammenhang eine Definition erforderlich ist. Die Definitionen spezifischerer Begriffe sind in den technischen Lieferbedingungen, Prüfverfahren usw. zu finden, auf die in der betreffenden Materialnorm verwiesen wird.

Le présent document définit les termes généraux à utiliser dans les normes de matériaux métalliques pour les applications aérospatiales. Il est uniquement destiné à donner les termes qui sont véritablement généraux et où la définition, dans ce contexte, est nécessaire. Les définitions de termes plus spécifiques doivent se trouver dans les spécifications techniques, les méthodes d’essai, etc. qui sont citées en référence dans la norme de matériau concernée.

Ta dokument določa splošne izraze za uporabo v standardih za kovinske materiale, ki se uporabljajo v aeronavtiki. Namenjen je izključno podajanju izrazov, ki so resnično splošni in jih je v tem kontekstu treba definirati. Definicije bolj specifičnih izrazov je treba poiskati v tehničnih specifikacijah, preskusnih metodah itd., na katere se sklicuje zadevni standard za proizvod.
