Personal protective equipment against falls from a height - Fall arrest systems

This European Standard specifies the terminology and the general requirements for fall arrest systems which serve as personal protective equipment against falls from a height. This European Standard additionally describes examples of how components or assemblies of components may be connected into a fall arrest system. These examples should enable the purchaser or user to assemble all components in a correct manner and to build up a fall arrest system.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Terminologie und allgemeine Anforderungen für Auffangsysteme fest, die als Persönliche Schutzausrüstungen gegen Absturz Verwendung finden. Diese Europäische Norm gibt außerdem Beispiele dafür, wie Bestandteile oder Zusammenstellungen von Bestandteilen zu ein Auffangsystem verbunden werden können. Durch diese Beispiele sollte der Käufer oder Benutzer in die Lage versetzt werden, alle Bestandteile richtig zusammenzustellen und zu einem Auffangsystem zusammenzufügen.

La présente Norme européenne spécifiée la terminologie et les exigences générales relatives aux systèmes d'arrêt des chutes utilisés comme équipement de protection individuelle contre les chutes de hauteur. En outre, la présente Norme européenne décrit, au moyen d'exemples, la manière dont les composants ou les assemblages de composants peuvent être reliés dans un système d'arrêt des chutes. Ces exemples devraient permettre à l'acheteur ou à l'utilisateur d'assembler correctement tous les composants et de constituer un système d'arrêt des chutes.
