Steel wire and wire products - Non-ferrous metallic coatings on steel wire - Part 1: General principles
This part of this European Standard specifies the requirements for the mass other properties and testing of non-ferrous metal coatings on steel wire and steel wire products of circular or other cross-section. This European Standard deals with requirements of general application and is of use for those coatings for which no particular requirement have been laid down in the following parts (2 to 6). Deviations are possible, particularly if required for well defined products. In such case, appropriate requirements shall be part of the relevant product standard.

Dieser Teil dieser Europäischen Norm legt Anforderungen an Masse, andere Eigenshaften und Prüfung von Überzügen aus Nichteisenmetall auf Stahldraht und Stahldrahterzeugnissen mit rundem oder anderem Querschnitt fest. Die vrliegende Europäische Norm behandelt Anforderungen für die allgemeine Anwendung und gilt für solche Überzüge, für die keine besonderen Anforderungen in DIN EN 10244-2 bis DIN EN 10244-6 festgelegt sind. Abweichungen sind möglich, insbesondere wenn sie für bestimmte Produkte verlangt werden. In einem solchen fall sind die entsprechenden Anforderungen Bestandteil der jeweiligen Produktnorm.

La présente partie de la présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences en matière de masse, des autres caractéristiques et d'essai de revêtements métalliques non ferreux sur fils et produits tréfilés en acier de section circulaire ou autre.
La présente norme européenne traite des exigences d'application générale et s'applique aux revêtements pour lesquels aucune exigence particulière n'a été établie dans les autres parties (2 à 6). Des dérogations sont possibles, en particulier si elles sont nécessaires pour obtenir des produits spécifiques. Dans ce cas, des exigences appropriées doivent être données dans la norme concernant ces produits.
