This European Standard applies to steel castings:
-   for general engineering uses. Its uses include machinery (mechanical, electrical...), automotive industries, railroad, armament, agricultural equipment, mining, etc.
In cases where castings are joined by welding by the founder, this document applies.
In cases where castings are welded:
-   to wrought products (plates, tubes, forgings...), or
-   by non-founders,
this document does not apply.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Stahlguss
-   für allgemeine Anwendungen. Die Verwendung schließt Maschinen (mechanisch, elektrisch, ...), Kraftfahrzeugindustrie, Eisenbahnen, Rüstung, Landmaschinen, Bergbau usw., ein.
In Fällen, in denen Gussstücke vom Gießer zusammengeschweißt werden, gilt dieses Dokument.
In Fällen, in denen Gussstücke geschweißt werden
-   zusammen mit umformbaren Erzeugnissen (Bleche, Rohre, Schmiedestücke, ...), oder
-   von anderen als Gießern,
gilt dieses Dokument nicht.

Aciers moulés - Aciers moulés d'usage général

La présente norme Européenne s’applique aux aciers moulés utilisés :
-   en mécanique générale. Leur utilisation inclut l’équipement (mécanique, électrique…), l’industrie automobile, le ferroviaire, l’armement, les équipements agricoles, l’industrie minière, etc.
Le présent document s’applique aux cas où les pièces moulées sont assemblées par soudage par le fondeur.
Le présent document ne s’applique pas aux cas où les pièces moulées sont soudées :
-   à des produits corroyés (tôles, tubes, pièces forgées …) ; ou
-   par des non-fondeurs.

Ta dokument se uporablja za jeklene ulitke za splošne tehnične namene. Nameni uporabe zajemajo stroje (mehanske, električne ...), avtomobilsko industrijo, železnico, vojno opremo, kmetijsko opremo, rudarstvo. Ta dokument se uporablja v primerih, ko spajanje ulitkov z varjenjem izvaja livar. Kadar se ulitke vari na gnetene zlitine (plošče, cevi, kovane predmete ...) ali ko to izvajajo druge osebe, ki niso livarji, se ta dokument ne uporablja.
